Fred Grimm's commendable editorial today, "Lobbying around those pesky regulations", misses a salient fact: that wetlands mitigation banking -- the fraud underlying Grimm's report -- was invented whole cloth from Jeb! Bush, supported in the legislature by Marco Rubio, his consigliere. The OPED reminds why the most important book to emerge from Florida in the last decade was co-written by Craig Pittman, Tampa Bay Times writer: "Paving Paradise: Florida's vanishing wetlands and the failure of 'no net loss'".
