Do RSVP for The Lynda Bell Senior Luncheon. By Geniusofdespair

Yes, if you are going to subject yourself to the 2 and half hours of torture-for-food by attending this event, you had better RSVP. I heard a rumor that ONLY Cutler Bay Residents need apply. Homestead and Palmetto Bay residents, I have been told are not welcome. If you had a problem with your RSVP let us know in comments.  Any non-Republicans invited?

I just called and they said it is only open to those over 55 that live within the district.  There was no mention that only Cutler Bay residents are welcome. They are looking up your address to make sure you live in the district. So when you make your reservation, have that fake address ready.

10:30 to 1? Isn't that a wee bit lengthy?

We seniors (i.e., folks over 55) take a long time to chew the sort of stuff Lynda dishes out, and even longer to swallow it.

Genius, you're out doing yourself on these. I guess those addresses will go right on her campaign mailers or taxpayer funded thank you for attending notes! I'll email you with some Dist. 8 addresses to use - oops, better not, they'll probably card at the door! I haven't been able to stomach a sneak peak at her website wich probably has all of her hmmmmm accomplishments, I guess she'd say, in Dist. 8

Is this an Amway meeting? I wonder if she'll lock the doors after one enters or if she'll have huge blow up posters of herself & Dist. 8 banner like usual.

Just a note to the 55+ give your name, address and you could be turned over to the tax assessors office possibly end up homeless and then you can move into the Cutler Bay Centre affordable housing development in Cutler Bay, Florida. Is this brunch worth it? After all it is the first of the month when we 55+ have a few dollars due to entitlement.

Does Linda Bell yell at the old ladies?

Food for votes. What a concept.

How in God's name did we trade graceful, temperate, and intelligent Katy Sorenson for this tasteless, vulgar, and rude hack?

This is truly the embodiment of regression to the mean.

Someone has to run against her.

Sounds like she has taken a page from Seijas' playbook. Seijas kept her elderly in line with food.

Pavlov's voters.

Absentee ballots aren't far behind.

Lynda Bell and Pavlov's Conditioned Reflex.

Food is offered to groups of the elderly (now 55+ years - (study the voter demographic)), Lynda Bell repeats "Vote for Bell" and rings a bell, food is served, the sequence is repeated, later absentee ballots are mailed, Lynda Bell re-convenes the elderly at the same facilities throughout District 8 and requests them in the invitation to bring their absentee ballots should they have questions, Bell rings the bell and the mesmerized elderly (55+ years)unconsciously and reflexively salivate and mark their absentee ballots for Bell, and Bell wins the District 8 election.

Students, we will call this phenomenon Bell's Conditioned Voting Reflex or Bell's Zombie Absentee Ballot Voting.

Even someone of Trailer Trash Bell's limited intellect should know that a double-wide is the only type of affordable housing now-a-days. Condo's are so 1980's.

Makin' 55+ senior citizens sit through a 2 1/2 hour sales pitch is a scam preferred by unscrupulous scumbag real estate sales people sellin' choice property in Bum Fuck Egypt.

Using a church pulpit to shill votes and further her questionable political agenda is outrageous.

This Heathen has clearly lost her mind.

I'm 56 and I am NOT elderly nor a senior citizen. Ouch! I'm also too busy to spend that kind of time for free food, but I am curious to learn what happens.

To the Anon above, it is not regression to the mean, she is an outlier, at least two or three standard deviations from the mean on the low side of the distribution. It is an insult to the people here to even suggest she is near the mean.

Well I am happy to hear someone else suggest that she needs an opponent. Still not hearing anyone ante up though. Who's got the list from last time? Are any of them willing?

I DONT THINK ANY OF THEM ARE WILLING. SHE NOW HAS THE MONEY TO HAVE THE BEST ATTACK TEAM IN THE ELECTION. IT IS ALL ABOUT HER SWEET FACE AND ABSENTEE BALLOTS.

Homie - You're probably wrong. When the AB brokers end up arrested because everyone will be watching it will hurt her campaign. I'm sure there's a PAC already to go just for legal fees challenging them. It's about the voters, the money helps, though it doesn't guarantee a win. Some of you forget what Monestine did to Rolle........The same will happen here and Bell hasn't even been as entrenched as he was, so it will be even easier! Bell is a weak, stupid one termer. They may like her in County hall because she's a guarantee yes vote on all that's wrong with this County, which others profit financially from. She's done enough damage to the district trying to micromanage very badly, especially the Palmetto Bay stuff and her bizarre ordinances. The prize winning one is letting certain property owner off the hook for funds owed to the County! Remember, the voters down here do vote. They won't be fooled again, and we'll make sure of it. Let her be an economic engine to so many on the political consultant dole, it's easy money, but that money isn't tied to her winning.
