What happened to freedom of speech. Don't the people have the right to express their thoughts against the mass corruption in the City of Miami and give their opinions as to who would be good or bad? When you open your blog to comments - you are suppose to let people talk, what ever their talk is.

What planet are you from? This isn't freedom of speech. This is a blog. We control it. When the content of the comments doesn't remotely relate to the blog post it is gone. If you want freedom of speech start your own blog and talk about whatever you want. You can call it the Dennis Rod blog...see if anyone reads it.

Freedom of speech, what do you think this is a government? Try to write fuck on the Herald site and see how fast your FREE SPEECH is removed.

Hey Genious: I thought we could write here what we thought!!!!Too bad, I guess not.

If you write 10 Dennis Rod comments, no you can't. Look we get ads all the time that I delete. Hundreds of them. Am I to leave them? The Dennis Rod comments are ads in my book. They all said the same thing.

And leave out the "O"

There is one rule on this blog: Do not attack the bloggers!

Who is Dennis Rod? Do you mean Dennis Rodman, the basketball player?

The Constitution only guarantees that the government will not censor speech. A private blog publisher can do what they want. Educate yourself people.

Apparently it is Denis Rod with one "N". He is running for office or not...don't know him. He has a website that talks about himself. don't know much more than that except someone keeps posting how great he is, over and over and over and over...

As hard as it is for me to admit, anyone who successfully negotiates that effing captcha BS gets my respect.

[only two this time! I feel like I won the lottery!]

Don't attack the bloggers - that's fine.
There should be another rule... Don't attack those who post comment specially if they are being civilized and just giving an opinion.

Rick - I got about 300 spams a day without it and Gimleteye doesn't delete.

and to anonymous...give your opinion but not 20 times about Denis Rod.

Are you aware that this person (DR) donated one of his kidneys to a low-income African-American person who needed help.

One can't cover everything...It is not that I don't care about the city of miami. I can't do it all and there are other blogs doing it. We accept guest blogs in areas that we don't normally cover.

Why Frigging? just because you are not aware of the talent of Denis Rod does't mean we cannot express our liking someone who does well for the community.
I wish lived in his district 4.

A Rod supporter who cannot spell was spamming numerous blogs we wrote that have nothing to do with him. I now have a "rod rule": stay on topic.

All the comments were the same as well. Campaigners know we don't print all their nonsense. We don't supply free ad space. Rod supporter learn to spell check and he might be a good candidate but you have made me hate him. Hope that makes you happy.

Not every person who wants to be elected can get elected. It takes a special combination of talents. Few people can tell enough lies and raise enough money from sleazy lobbyists and companies wanting to do business with governments to mount campaigns that get them elected.

Elected with money???? Yes, dear Blog.. Tomas Regalado is a good example. Plus, in 3 years there have been 5 City Managers and 4 Police Chiefs. Also, a suit by Commissioner Spence-Jones. WHAT A DISASTER!!!! Don't you think?
