Looking Back: Best and Worst 2012 Florida. By Geniusofdespair

A Best: State Rep. Jose Javier Rodriguez. Best of the worst: Allen West. Worst local politician, Lynda Bell at a book bag giveaway (It is how you get reelected, give out free stuff)
Best: U.S. Rep. Allen West lost his reelection.
Worst: His replacement Patrick Murphy sends out too many fundraising emails.

Best: Rebeca Sosa was elected Chair of County Commission.
Worst: Lynda Bell was voted Co-Chair by her brain-dead colleagues.

Best: Jose Javier Rodriguez won the District 112 State Rep race against Alex Diaz de la Portilla.
Worst: Luis Garcia lost against Bruno Barreiro.

Best: Absentee ballot fraud is finally getting addressed, namely in a 2012 Grand Jury report.
Worst: The State Prosecutors are useless to enforce action against anyone collecting ballots and the State legislature is unlikely to pass any of the recommendations from the Grand Jury report.

Best: Steve Batemen is up for reelection in Homestead.
Worst: No one good EVER runs for Mayor in Homestead so he will probably be reelected.

Best: There is a county lawsuit against John Dubois for illegally filling in wetlands and trimming mangroves at his waterfront mansion.
Worst: John Dubois, Lynda Bell protege, won a seat on the Palmetto Bay Commission so the lawsuit will probably sputter out.

Best: Politician in Miami Dade County on land-use issues, Dennis Moss I guess.
Worst: On all issues, Lynda Bell.

Best: U.S. Rep. David Rivera lost his reelection.
Worst: U.S. Senator Marco Rubio somehow weasels out of the stench of his BFF David Rivera.

You guys must have some Best/Worst news of your own...

I hope Lynda Bell has a New Year's resolution to lose weight. She would be super hot if she lost 50 or 60 pounds.

BEST- THERE IS NO BEST! WE LIVE IN THE MOST CORRUPT COUNTY IN THE NATION AND NOBODY IS WILLING TO GO AFTER THE CORRUPT! MIAMI-DADE COUNTY COMMISSION, CITY OF MIAMI MAYOR AND COMMISSIONERS, KATHERINE FERNANDEZ-RUNDLE, ETC.

WORST- JUST READ WHAT IS LISTED UNDER THE "BEST"

I wish I could see as one of "the best" that Denis Rod wins as City of Miami Commissioner. It would be a good thing to have a public servant... Not a politician who needs servants!
