Turkey's on Riptide. By Geniusofdespair

Miami New Times' Francisco Alvarez wrote a blog on Thanksgiving, The Top Five Turkey's in Miami-Dade Politics, and I am thankful as it features Eye on Miami so I don't have to write today.

Bell was supposed to hold a Field and Stream but her handlers thought Rand would make her look more intelligent.

I will give thanks for Francisco Alvarado. Finally, somebody is picking up on the stink emanating from the Mayor.

We need to convince Dan Gelber to run against this guy. Is it too much to ask to have a capable, intelligent and ethical individual occupy the most powerful office in Miami-Dade County? Gimenez is inept, unimpressive and blind to the scumbags that are hanging around him.

Dan Gelber is just in it for himself. No better than the others. Big ego, full of hot air, self centered but a smart guy - just not a good politician.

Dan Gelber is fighting to keep massive casinos away from our flourishing cities. Gelber is a volunteer.

Dan Gelber is being paid by Norman Braman to fight the casinos.

Marc Sarnoff should be on the list of turkeys.

While it is obvious that the Gimenez loyalists jumped in to smear Gelber, not one of them challenged the assertion by the Anon above who referred to the Mayor as "inept, unimpressive and blind to the scumbags that are hanging around him."

Of course, it is difficult to defend the shmuck. It was the Firefighter Mayor who blocked the doors on Sunday absentee voting at Elections Headquarters. Way to go, Carlito.
