Happy Thanksgiving? By Geniusofdespair

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens

Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens

Brown paper packages tied up with strings

These are a few of my favorite things!

I'm glad someone on this blog is feeling the love, read Gimleteye's post above.  Me, not feeling it. Still reeling from election fever, it always ruins my holiday spirit. It takes me a month to recover, although this video always cheers me up at Thanksgiving:

u know what restores my faith? taking my dogs to the beach at Haulover early on a Sat or Sun morning ( when dogs are allowed! ) - most often we're the only ones on the beach and it's awesome to realize that in a metropolis area of 3mil +/- , I'm staring out at the amazing Atlantic ocean without having to see/hear/be disturbed by another human bothering. me, the dogs, and the wave action. it's one of the very few reasons I have left for remaining here. when my partner retires, freeing me ( can work from anywhere ) to push to leave here, well, just let me say that I was in Los Angeles recently after a long hiatus and L.A. has it going on! their downtown is alive, their subway system is safe, clean and awesome and ..and...people are FRIENDLY! not to mention medical marijuana...which will never happen in Florida before I leave the earth. Yep, unless Miami/Dade gets its shit together, I'm going back west from whence I came. Earthquakes be damned.

I am feeling it big time! I can walk without assistance; my sight is good; I have full use of my arms and fingers; I have all my cognitive capabilities and some even think I am bright; I can go to the bathroom with ease; I don't have any big diseases; I have food and a roof over my head; while I don't have a lot of money, I can take care of myself; I have a positive outlook on life and the future; generally, I believe in the goodness of mankind; my faith in God is strong; and I am surrounded by people who love and care for me. I have a whole lot to the thankful for!

Old video but still catches a few laughs. How could she not have noticed? There's something really weird on this video, they guy knew they were filming him. Couldn't he stopped slaughtering the turkeys in front of camera?
