FBI: Public Corruption Hotline

It is a violation of federal law for any federal or state government official to ask for or receive anything of value for or because of any official act. Under federal law, the person who offers or pays a bribe is also guilty. Because of the secretive nature of bribes, such crimes are often difficult to detect and even more difficult to prove without the assistance of concerned citizens. As a result, the FBI has set up a public corruption hotline for public tips at 877-628-2533. You also can contact the local FBI office by phone at 305-944-9101 or via email PublicCorruptionMiami@ic.fbi.gov.

It's good to know that investigating public corruption is one of the FBI's highest priorities. We can't simply turn a blind eye to all that's happening. Let's hope this public corruption hotline will be put to good use.

How about a Public Stupidity Hotline?
That would a busy number.

Speaking of corruption, can't wait to see the entire clueless city of Miami commissioners tomorrow give Scottys Landing owner an extension after not paying property taxes for 17 years as well as fuel sharing revenue. These bozos need to be removed!

Actually they are all going to run for Mayor. Regalado, Suarez and maybe Carolllo. Hotline will be of the hook after that.

I think I'll ask for an investigation into Lynda Bell and her husband's purchase of the Redland Hotel and then the mysterious mortgage company John DuBios created to fund the mortgage on that property........I can dream of jail for some in fact a super majority of the BCC would be just great.

I wonder how the commissioners feel about the Marlins now?

This is good to know, they should really eradicate corruption so people can put their trust fully on them.

Frank Carollo would have a great shot at winning the Mayor's race. He got over 50% of the vote last time he ran in 2009 for commissioner. Suarez had to go to a runoff in his district and barely beat Manolo Reyes. Regalado is no longer trustworthy. He needs to go. My money is on Carollo, although he hasn't stated if he will run??????

I don't like Carollo, but I HATE Regaldo. Rather vote Carollo because the regalado corruption has made mockery of our city.

Neither Carollo nor Francis Suarez has challenged Regaldo yet? Haven't heard anything about that. New 45 million makes Tomasito look beeeerrrryyyy good.
