My Signature on the Absentee Ballot. By Geniusofdespair

I was on my way to the post office with my absentee ballot.  On the way out the door I took out my license and compared it to the signature on the ballot.  It was clearly different. Was it different enough for them to toss it? Maybe.

I isolated my middle initial from 3 examples of my signature to show you in the box at the left. The rest of the signature was similarly unmatchable. The first "A" was from my Absentee Ballot. Would you reject it?

I didn't go to the post office. They routinely toss out enough absentees for bad signatures to have made Al Gore President. I might vote early. I don't want to drive to Doral and park a mile from the front door (not enough parking there).  I wish I could cross out the signature and do it over.

Different topic: If you are voting absentee, check every page. I left one bubble out, you might have too.

Your hooks aren't the only problem. The missing loop in 2 and the loop below the line in 1 is a bigger problem.

Other than the triangle of the A, none of them look like they're the same. Interesting.

Remember to bring your absentee ballot with you to return.

I've used your endorsements to fill out my sample ballot. I like to have it done so I don't have to read much when I get there. :)

I'm still undecided on the term limits.

Can I write "G.o.D." as write-in against Rundle?

I can't believe David Rivera is going to represent me in Congress. Politics is a f*&^ing crazy game.

Hold your nose and do the term limits otherwise you will have Lynda Bell in office for 16 or 20 years. Don't vote for Rivera and ask your friends not to. Change some votes it might make a difference. He could lose. I would be honored but use my full name. Geniusofdespair.

I suggest you do what so many of our local Miami and Palmetto Bay residents do. Call up an absentee ballot worker and ask them for help. I am sure they are ready and willing. I can name a couple of candidates who have hired a boletero to run their ground game for them. John and Jim could be one.

Rivera doesn't have to represent anyone anymore. Vote for Joe Garcia and elect someone who can save the Everglades, which is in this district. Better yet, volunteer to get the vote out in his campaign. This is our best chance to get Garcia elected!

You can also go to the front of the early voting line and drop your sealed AB into an elections drop box.

To check that your mailed absentee ballot has been received check here.

Don't know if that means my signature/ballot has been verified/accepted.

I heard that if you take it to the Stephen Clark center, that they will verify you and take your absentee ballot. Does anyone know if that is true or not?

In the 2012 Primary Election, the Canvassing Board rejected 307 ballots based on signature not matching.
