Dem Joe Garcia IS Challenging Slime-Pub David Rivera. By Geniusofdespair

Don't discount the Dems chances of winning this seat. Surprise, surprise, David Rivera won against Joe Garcia in 2010 by absentee ballots. Joe Garcia won on election day and in early voting. And, yes I am aware that more Republicans do absentee but Rivera got twice as many absentee's in what was a nail biter in the other two arenas.

Here is Joe Garcia's Video Announcement:

Which is also how the RTL Bell beat Flynn for the Dist. 8 seat - even thought the Commission is "non partisan". It still makes me puke to look at those numbers. At least Garcia actually lives in Miami Dade County, which is a plus in this election seat shopping season!

Joe Garcia Part III. Another reminder of the dire straights of the local Democratic party.

Really Joe, Otis Wallace? Is that the best you could do? My God, who is running your campaign.

Also get the video suggestions off your video at the end...they are trashing you. You have to click a button to remove them.

Agree that Rivera is slime; unfortunately Garcia is scum. It is sad that these are our choices.

Jeff Garcia is supposed to be running his campaign.

They spelled Mayor Wallace's name wrong. Instead of fixing it, just cut him and Bateman out. You don't launch a campaign based on opposing corruption with those characters in the shot. They should both be sharing a cell with Rivera.

I think they took a map of the district and a ruler and decided that Robert Is Here is the geographic center.

It's the North Korea of campaign launches.

This guy is talking about corrupt politicians and he is being escorted by Steve Bateman and Otis Wallace?
While he might live in the area he sure doesn't know the area.
This is sad.

What is a "pub?"

I don't get it? Really. How can Joe Garcia be parading himself with two of the most ethically challenged south dade politicians... And at the same time be talking about honesty and transparency...

More a reflection of the local electorate voting in this godforsaken district.

Anyone elected by so many absentees is going to support only as many issues as most absentee citizens care for.

If Rivera doesn't win... He could run for commission...

The really important number is early voting. Democrats usually do much better than Republicans. But Garcia's margin of victory in early voting is quite unimpressive.

Jeff Garcia is no longer running this campaign.
