A little about Alison: She has over 20 years experience specializing in sustainable tourism development in rural communities as a tourism communication specialist with the Organization of American States (OAS) and as Vice President of Rainforest Media and Tourism Consulting Inc. During her career, she has lived and worked extensively throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, where she is best known for designing and implementing national environmental and tourism awareness programs. Her work with rural under-developed communities and non-governmental organizations was to create community development action plans, assist with institutional strengthening, promoting ecotourism and integrating community activities with tourism development projects.
I knew Alison when she worked for Audubon of Florida. Nice lady. Xavier Suarez, in District 7, is the only County Commissioner without a challenger.

Alison ran against Marvin Dunn and lost. She didn't have any money. Let's see if Norman Braman opens a PAC for her. If she has about $300,000 she would have a good chance.
That's because Xavier Suarez has brought something to the Commission that it sorely lacked: a brain.

Alison Austin got beat by the dummy Richard Dunn. Dunn was backed by tons of lobbyist money. She knows very little about business and a lot about living off of the taxpayer, sort of like Audrey Edmonson. Too bad neither lady lives in the real world. By the way, Edmonson and Spence-Jones both voted YES for the disastrous Marlins scam. Both need to go.
Audrey Edmonson represents the inner city and many ghettos. There are probably 10,000 vacant lots in her District 3. Doesn't Audrey know about "urban infill"? Why did Audrey vote to expand the UDB? Why invade the Everglades? Doesn't she know that harms her peoples?
She should be fighting to get investors into the inner city.
Audrey is clueless on far too many issues. This Allison Austin character only goes to City or County Hall when she is being paid or when she wants money from the taxpayers. Another poverty pimp?
