Erik Fresen Will Be Running in District 114. By Geniusofdespair

With district changes for State Representative approved by the Supreme Court, are you unlucky enough to now be within Erik Fresen clutches? Look at the maps (all maps can be increased in size by hitting on them)

We can't vote for him again...are you listening Cutler Bay, South Miami, Pinecrest, West Miami and Coral Gables? Don't panic if you live within the boundaries of his district, there is still time for others to enter the race.

This one you will have to hit on, I can't get it any larger.

114 is dangerously close to where current freshman rep Bileca lives. He mush be just inside the neighboring district as I doubt they would make these two run against each other.

This is another screw the voter, gerrymandered district.

Bileca is going to have to spend a whole new $250,000 to have entirely new voters learn his name. He will be an incumbent in fundraising ability only. It appears that he was pushed west into an nearly entirely new district.

Don't worry, Genius. The Dems have a good candidate against Fresen -- me. I have good support from the Democratic area clubs and progressive local officials who support my pro-teacher, pro-environment platform. People in this district, regardless of party, overwhelmingly don't like Fresen's casinos. http://rosshancockforfla.com

This Hispanic Coral Gables Republican relishes the thought of voting AGAINST Fresen. Can't wait!

I am visiting the 500 Gables Republicans who signed petitions against Fresen's school, and Republicans are now signing MY candidate petitions and making donations. (And I am severely progressive.)

Republicans can also vote for Fresen's conservative primary challenger, a former NFL player. You can meet him in a few weeks at this Christian Coalition event: http://www.ccsouthfla.org

To late. Bileca already has 250 K.

I am glad to learn that Ross will take on Fresen. I met Ross when he was Editor of the Homestead Sun and I was with the start-up Redland Country News. I found him to be smart, involved and, yes, ETHICAL. He did some expose pieces on scumbag Steve Shiver, which did not endear him to Homestead politicians.
If I was in Miami-Dade, I would work for his campaign. You go Ross!

Thanks, Pat. You were there when I quietly gave up everything I owned in the world to stand up for the UDB and against HABDI, and now I'm going to the mat against this scoundrel Fresen!

Did you see where Fresen was a no show on Michael Putney's show on Sunday? Fresen's excuse was that he was delayed in Tallahassee. However, the other guest, Nan Rich, apparently told Putney off camera that Fresen was on the plane with her to South Florida the day before. Putney mentioned it to her, and Rich just smiled. Fresen is obviously a liar.

I am a Republican and I can't stand Fresen. I saw the Michael Putney show and was not shocked he would lie so blatantly.

I will be supporting the Republican running against him in the Primary.

Thank God I don't live in his district.

Woo Hoo! With the redistricting I think I'm out of Fresen's area! (although I have no idea who will purport to represent me in my area)

And even though I don't live in the district, I may still give Hancock money to run against fresen.

I live in Cutler Bay and have noticed that Ross Hancock has been attending community meetings, learning about the area and the community's needs. He isn't campaigning, he's listening. Isn't that what we want in our representative?

Hancock should be out walking his district. That is his number 1 task. It is the only way to combat money. He needs a campaign manager. Most of these grassroots candidates are too friggin' stubborn, so I throw up my hands. They have to have supervision and walk the walk...and then they probably will STILL lose. This is an uphill battle for a Dem.

Genius, you know I always listen to you. I walk the district until dark, then go to community meetings that start at 8, to meet the folks who make it happen in their local area. Contributors and volunteer prospects Ask people --- I show up in a sport coat still wearing my New Balance shoes!
