Public Hearing on: Penalty Added to Absentee Voter Fraud. By Geniusofdespair

Okay it is time for the PUBLIC HEARING on the penalty for Picking up/Returning Absentee ballot illegally:

Miami-Dade Infrastructure and Land Use Committee Agenda
Wednesday, November 09, 2011 - County Hall, 111 NW 1st Street
2:00:00 PM

112169 Ordinance
Rebeca Sosa, Prime Sponsor

Other Sponsors: Lynda Bell, Co-Sponsor, Esteban L. Bovo, Jr., Co-Sponsor, Jose "Pepe" Diaz, Co-Sponsor, Audrey M. Edmonson, Co-Sponsor, Sally A. Heyman, Co-Sponsor, Barbara J. Jordan, Co-Sponsor, Dennis C. Moss, Co-Sponsor, Xavier L. Suarez, Co-Sponsor

ORDINANCE REGARDING ABSENTEE BALLOTS; AMENDING SECTION 12-14 OF THE CODE OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ADDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATING LIMITS ON PICKING UP AND/OR RETURNING ABSENTEE BALLOTS; PROVIDING SEVERABILITY, INCLUSION IN THE CODE, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE (SEE ORIGINAL ITEM UNDER FILE NO. 112056) 10/18/2011

The public hearing will be near 2pm as it is high on the agenda. I am hoping Judith Thompson (pictured above) comes to speak. She is actually a hero that cared enough to track down her missing absentee ballot.  Without her perseverance, this change wouldn't be taking place and we would not have a face on a stolen absentee ballot. Most people who have absentee ballot problems say to themselves "Oh, Well" and that is the end of it.  Not Judith, she went to vote when she didn't get hers and was denied the right to vote because her ballot was stolen from the assisted living facility she was living at and someone voted for her.

Genius: I don't know how to start thanking you. There simply aren't
enough words.

You and Ms. Thompson are indeed our heroes. The guts it took for her to stand up to the County should stand as a model for the voters to rid this Miami-Dade County of the corruption we have had to endure for so long.

Let us at least name the law after Ms. Thompson. She deserves it.

Thank you both! We owe you a debt of gratitude. And when that law is signed, we want Ms. Thompson and you to be a part of the ceremony.

Genius, this time you can't stop us because of your humility. I ask the readers of this blog to join me in letting the Mayor know that Ms. Thompson should be standing beside him when he signs this law.

Thank you for this great civic accomplishment. Thank you Ms. Thompson you are the kind of citizen that serve as a role model for all of us.

This is what will stop government corruption and protect our democracy.

Now lets expose the Tax Assessors Office, The Tax Assessor and Commissioners, family members and friends who engage with Community Redevelopment Agencies in mainly African-American neighborhoods and Hispanic neighborhoods to lien and confiscate any property no matter where its located to acquire property through liens on homes. Its a land grab for later in hopes that by 2018 land will be back as a premium.

This Tax Assessor is a Real Estate Agent and that is a recipe for disaster in Miami-Dade County.
