Absentee Ballot Ordinance Public Hearing November 9th. By Geniusofdespair

It is scheduled for a public hearing (You can speak) at the Nov 9 Infrastructure and Land Use Committee. The approximate time is not yet posted.

Adding a Penalty to an existing law prohibiting the routine pick up of Absentee Ballot by campaign workers will help stop the illegal action. The ordinance, proposed by Rebeca Sosa, also wound up with the following sponsors:

Sosa - Prime Sponser
Bell, Bovo, Diaz, Edmunson, Heyman, Jordan, Moss, Suarez -- that is 9 out of 13.

The Members of the Infrastructure and Land Use Committee are: Audrey M. Edmonson (3) Chair; Barbara J. Jordan (1) Vice Chair; Commissioners Bruno A. Barreiro (5), Jose "Pepe" Diaz (12), Jean Monestime (2), and Rebeca Sosa (6)

This is good news! And, I cannot thank you enough for staying on this. For years we have endured this abuse and all it took was one person, a creative idea and the will to do it all by yourself to fix it. AND YOU DID IT!

They should name the law after you.

I would like to hear from the people who post on this blog as to what we they think the law should be called:

It should be a catchy, simple name that the voters will remember every time there is an election.

Genius Voter Fraud Law? No!
Eye On Miami Voter Fraud Law? No!
No Abuse voter Law? No!

Come on people.

I am not good at this. Help me here. Please!

Let's give it the name it deserves!

Genius, we cannot let this go by without giving recognition to the one person who made it happen.

Thanks for your enthusiasm...but God "NO" on the names...people who need the recognition are the ones that vote on it. I don't.

The Judith Thompson Disenfranchised Voter Amendment.
GoD,thank you for being humble, even though this was all yours. While I agree with about 20% of what is said here this was a long time coming. Thanks.
