Florida Wingnut Running for U.S. Senate. By Geniusofdespair

I am not talking about Michele Bachmann who wants to drill for oil and natural gas in the Everglades and believes God is punishing us with weather. That wingnut is running for President not the Senate.

Marielena Montesino de Stuart (yes, 'de Stuart') is a Republican running for Bill Nelson's Senate seat. What she basically says on her website is...well...nothing but she does include a lot of talking points she put in her own words, a big mistake. Abortion appears to be her big issue.

In her own words, I added the titles:

PATRIOTIC: Every time I look at our beautiful flag and place my hand over my heart for the Pledge of Allegiance and sing our National Anthem, I am reminded of our nation’s promise to all her citizens – as the land of the free and the home of the brave.

ANTI-BIG GOVERNMENT: America stands at the raw edge of a great precipice. We see an ever expanding impersonal government that spends money it does not have, and passes laws that are blind to the Law-Giver. It is devouring all that is good and honorable.

ECONOMICS: I pledge to do my utmost to take any and all actions directed at curbing this nation’s current fiscal crisis. I will strive to articulate the economic needs of Floridians within the framework of a smaller government that supports private sector growth, job creation and lower taxes.

ANTI-CHOICE, MAYBE ANTI-GAY MARRIAGE TOO: The family, which is the building block and foundation for a civilized society—is under attack. The family existed from man’s beginning– before the creation of the State and the Church. We need to support legislation that is pro-family– and vigorously oppose legislation that endangers the family.

To date, 50 million Americans have been surgically aborted and millions more have died by chemical abortifacients and devices. Do we really want to continue this systematic destruction of our future citizens while the push for euthanasia of the elderly and the infirmed becomes ever more aggressive? To be for abortion, is to be against your own survival. Please note that the above figures do not include the millions of human embryos who have been destroyed in pseudo-scientific programs involving human stem cell research and IVF programs.

I guess Marco Rubio might vote for her. If she wins we would have two Cuban Senators who agree on just about everything. I don't think Republicans will embrace her, not with 10 Pub candidates running for this Senate seat.

I guess she thinks that since Rubio got elected that she could push the Im Cuban and I want all Cubans to vote for me as they do for almost all Cuban American political leaders in Dade County now and in the past qualified or not. Well lets be honest she will get beat like a drum, and maybe she will learn that to get elected to a public office outside of Dade County that being Cuban as your only qualification for a elected office will not get you elected.

We are always clamoring for "new blood" and saying we are tired of "career politicians". Here's somebody new. Thanks for bringing her to my attention. I had not heard about her but I will do some research. It's good to know that new people are interested in serving our country.

You need a bit of a track record to run for the U.S. Senate. This is not city hall or the Florida Senate.

Genius - You also need a track record to be President which the current office holder does not have!
