Not so interested in what they are discussing (their watch of Jackson Memorial Health Care System and advancing them $80 million) more interested in the health of the Commission Chair Dennis Moss. Take a look - I video-taped my TV Screen. All I can say as that I wish him well. Moss is one of the better County Commissioners.

I have learned that Commissioner Moss has cancer, at an advanced stage. He has been losing weight for a while know, and, as you can tell, he is losing even more, along with his hair. He is a decent, honest, intellegent individual, and has been a credit to this community. I urge you all to join me in praying for his speedy recovery.

Has there been any statements from his office or the Mayor? This is pretty serious and very sad, to say the least.

If he truly is ill, as the first anon stated, then I can only wish him well.
However, is it possible he just wanted a new "makeover"?

EoM is better than a "real newspaper", I read this before I look at the "supposedly real newspaper". It's just so weird that nothing is coming out of County Hall about it (at least publicly).
Well, I'm sorry, I really am. I think he's been a very good Chair and has done a lot of good for the Community. I don't always agree with his decisions but in the larger scope of the BCC, he's a good guy and I really wish him well.

The "through the chair" thing is a way to control the debate and keep the likes of VNS from badgering staff and the public who dare appear before her.
It is a bit tedious but it works.
No one from the Chair's office or the Mayor's office have spoken about this because that is the way Commissioner Moss wants it.
He is a proud man and he prefers to keep his personal matters private.
I join all of you in praising the Commissioner for his dedication to Miami Dade County and pray for his speedy recovery.
