I was thinking of driving up to St Pete to be there for the Crist announcement at 5pm but I got lazy. This will be terrific news as far as I am concerned. And, yes this tightwad will be sending him money if he becomes an Independent, further I will fund-raise for him.
This will be historic news. As a Republican, I am saddened by the extremist Republicans drumming our Moderates out of the party.

As a retired Republican (since before this Tea Party stuff) I too will support Crist, even though I'm still mad about SB360, he's the best of the lot by far!
I was thinking about working his campaign... even after swearing I would never work another.
I am a Dem who will vote for Crist. Call me one of those crossover voters! I think the wacko Repubs have made some very stupid choices. I do believe most voters are moderate and want good government for the people. Let's hope Charlie will continue to stand up to extremests in DC.
Crist all nightly news, he's about as independent as the country of Greece.
Both parties are going to gang up on him with vasts amounts of $$$, physical support, clebrity endorsements,etc.
If Charlie has a realistic shot at winning this seat - and he very well does, it will only be if we ALL get off our backs and rather larges posteriors and support him in every single way we can - physically (volunteers) and financially!
Otherwise, sit back and start getting used to the term "Senator Rubio" for at least the next 6 years.
You should be fundraising for Amendment 4.
I got hundreds and hundreds of signatures for amendment 4, I spent 3 days at elections headquarters pouring over records for amendment 4, I have written dozens of blogs on amendment 4 and I've sent them money...so don't tell me what I SHOULD be doing... worry about yourself. You go out and fundraise for it.
