I just got some phony call from Voter Talk 2010. They asked if I was a Tea Party supporter. I said: "Of course." They asked if I supported Sarah Palin. I said "Of course" again. Whatever they are up to on this, I did my duty of supplying misinformation. According to the Caller Complaints website: Caution, 208-991-1227 is a "spoofed" number, which means "whoever called you tricked your caller ID to display an incorrect phone number."

Can we get back to talking about local corruption running rampant? Last night it was a give away in Homestead.. free land for 35 years, no traffic impact money and a new city manager all with no competitive bidding or look see to see if there was something better... on both issues.
Homestead is a snake-pit.
It is worse than that. There were some good folks there but today there is no room for anyone but the Vice Mayor and those who she chooses to recognize. The sycophants roaming city hall are disgusting. Those who dont pay back loans, those who are milking the Seminole Theater rallying around the boys from Cocplum whose hands are in every deal. They are the real brains and drain Homestead everyday. The rest are just their gophers and only the spouse of one elected officials really understands what is truly happening.

My child is a fourth grader at Keys Gate charter and he reads on an 8th grade level, he is now doing algebra and is fluent in 2 languages. (We are a single language family.) Public school was never able to help him the way CS-USA has.
The ball park land will always remain property of Homestead. It has been sitting vaccant for 18 years, no one wants it but us, and if you did your homework you'd know that Aventura, and Cape Coral did the same deal that Homestead has done. Plus these cities floated 17 Million in Bonds to pay for their schools construction, and No one is accusing them of "local corruption".
I want this blog to understand something, only a few people in Homestead disliked the deal, the majority of the taxpayers wanted this. We could not be happier that our children will have an "A" high school to go to in the fall. A 30 million dollar state-of-the-art facility paid for by CS-USA.

Lunatic Homestead Mom -- If you think what has been going on in Homestead for the past 10 years is okay...you are part of the problem. You are not paying attention to your government. Read our Steve Shiver file sometime. Read 'Homestead is Home', your neighborly blog -- written by your neighbors. I am not defending Miami but lets be realistic about your town and stop focusing on a stupid school and your son...what does your son have to do with a city's crappy government? A good person can grow up anywhere. Have you checked out your former city manager...??

My father said to me once, Believe only 10% of what you here and only 80% of what you see. And most of what you hear on HIH is a lie. They censor any oppinion that is not their own. So I don't know what to think about the Shiver Mess. But I do know that Lynda Bell and her supporters have taken over the blog lately and they won't let you post the truth anywhere.
As for my son he loves the Mayor of this town, as do I. We helped, my son and I, to get Steve elected. It was a teaching experience.
I paid plenty of attention to my government, we unseated 5 officals seeking re-election this past November, weren't you watching?
As for Shehatta he is history, why worry about a scum bag like him? He was the product of Lynda Bell, a yes man to do her evil deeds and that is why he is gone.

There is no arguing with a wacky mom sticking up for a school, I learned that long ago in a battle not to put soccer fields in Bill Baggs park (the soccer moms were ferocious and there was no room for reason in those one track minds) so why am I walking into that brick wall yet again? Here PTSO: Your school is wonderful, your mayor is wonderful, your town is wonderful. You are wonderful. Go read the Miami Herald Neighbors, that is what they will say too.
