What Does the Miami Herald Really Think of Their Readers? By Geniusofdespair

The Miami Herald Ombusman Edward Schumacher-Matos spilled the beans today. Reflecting on why the teenage cat killer article tossed the Iran protests off the front page (to page 10 I believe), Matos said:

"I think that the story selection responds to what concerns South Florida."

P.S. Fred Grimm: This reader doesn't care about the living arrangements of sex offenders that much. It was okay for one or two columns.

Do you have a link to that column? I can't find it on the Herald website.

I am insulted. Why would they think I am that unintelligent?
