Everglades Coalition Conference in Miami Today and Tomorrow. By Geniusofdespair

Yes, you have a unique opportunity to see everyone who is anybody in the environmental community all in one place. And County Commissioner Pepe Diaz (How did he get in this group)? Usually these conferences are held at a Godforsaken place in Florida, like Naples, so this is a rare opportunity to hobnob with green people and learn a lot about the Florida environment...mostly what is wrong with it. It is $110 for one day. You can attend multiple concurrent programs. They supply plenty of cold water and some excellent hard candy. Fill your pockets.

Want to see Charlie Crist tonight? It is $50 extra for dinner with Crist (7 to 9:30 PM). Fair warning: You also have to see Mario Diaz-Balart. Both will be speaking.

Go to the Hilton at the old Omni, 1601 Biscayne Blvd. It goes from 8:30 A.M. today and tomorrow. You will not be sorry you attended Science Teachers, older students and others who care about the Florida environment. Trust me the conference sessions will not be above your head, remember Pepe will be there!
