Obama Rally in Miami's Bicentennial Park Today. by Geniusofdespair

I went. I couldn't see. I could hardly hear. But the spectacle was great (hit image to enlarge).
And:

For some reason they gave out TICKETS to some people ahead of time. Those people were allowed in a select area and had to go through metal detectors. They apparently arrived way before 4 pm. They had plenty of room and vendor booths to buy grub. Apparently the people who had to work were out of luck because that area closed very early. We, the thousands of others, were packed in like sardines behind barricades so we could see Obama as a thimble way off in the distance or not at all. "See, that's him, under the "G" in the word "change." "Where?" Many people were standing downhill of the stage so they were completely blocked. The second picture was taken by a woman sitting on her boyfriend's shoulders. It had to be her boyfriend because a husband would never shoulder his wife for that long.

What did I expect of Democrats in Miami? They did a shitty job of picking a venue, no surprise.

It looked like a rap concert - I felt like all the resident of Overtown walked 12 blocks east - looked downright dangerous
