Remember Jack Luft? By Geniusofdespair

He is testifying as an expert witness in front of the county commission at the moment. He gave his address as Sanibel Island. He, as longtime Planning Director for the City of Miami, is responsible for many of the problems within the City and now he has flown the coop to a more serene life. Thanks a lot Jack. Why don't you just stay in Sanibel, he is arguing density right now...

It is now 4 pm. I fell asleep watching the hearings. I have new respect for the Commissioners. How could they sit through these meetings. They are truly mind-numbing.

Miami made tonight's NBC national news as the poster child for the condo bust. What a surprise! not.

Nice drive by ad hominem attack on Jack Luft. Glad you stayed awake long enough to disparage him without any explanation.

As to the items on the Commission agenda, it was interesting to see that NIMBYism of the East Kendall folks has not diminished. Oh sure, they agree with "Hold the Line", just don't try to build anything in their neighborhood.

Chalk up another victory for good urban planning!

Luft is a yawner, duller than stale. He was hired by Surfside's prior admin to devise an incomprehensible and reprehensible continuity code for the town. The proposed bible sized plan was rightly picked apart by activist residents and Luft was rendered a puddle when the new admin ran ashore. Some say all that is needed to be an expert is knowing just a bit more than others... even if you don't know jack.

you are a nasty guy lee allen you can write without that stupid sarcasm all the time... Maybe you should check out The Daily Pulp or some other blogs.

Jack Luft wanted to develop Virginia Key with a glorified RV park/eco campground. Jack Luft is responsible for the the jail-like library/art complex downtown. Jack Luft is responsible for Bayside. That should be enough right there. He couldn't think green he didn't know how. And, he was going to commerate the black experience on Virginia Key in a corner of the Restaurant at the eco campground.
