We, the little people, demand some respect. How can you go wrong with a column that begins with: And now a moment of silence for the poor, put-upon members of the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners.

As usual, Ana Menendez is dead accurate. Those idiot Miami-Dade County commissioners have no clue it is our money they are wasting. Then they expect to be treated like royalty? More people should give them raps on the head.
Don't they know they are public servants not our masters?
On first glance their asinine behaviour is really funny. But there's not much funny about these clowns who are responsible for this county going to hell in a handbasket. Their greed and egos, not common sense or brains (if they even have any) are what make the decisions that all of us and our pocketbooks, not to mention future generations and our environment, have to live with. Their Mafia Don-like mentality is truly disturbing. And what's even more disturbing is that they continue to be reelected.
I happened to see that commission tantrum, with cheerleader Natacha Seijas. Commissioners do some really stupid things, but this fiasco was too much like the stuff dictators say. It was scary that at least 3 commissioners verbalized that they were better and more deserving of the best seats than the people. Come on people, these commissioners do not deserve to be re-elected.
I absolutely agree with Ana Menendez. This was one of her best pieces and nails the commissioners right on their vacuous and twisted heads.
Sometimes I don't blame them for being so obnoxious but the people who reelect them and have made them believe that they are INDISPENSABLE and Dade County would not function or would disappear from earth w/o them.
