BARF SUNDAY. By Geniusofdespair

I have never been in such despair over politics.

$33 a bottle. It flopped.

County Government: Joe Martinez might sail back on to the County Commission In District 11 unless Felix M. Lorenzo can pull off a miracle with his $2,100 campaign fund. Juan Zapata left the race too late for a credible candidate to enter. Joe Martinez was poison on the Commission. It was a happy day when County Commissioner Joe Martinez ran for Mayor because it got him off the County Commission. He lost that, so he tried for Congress. He lost that now he is back running for the County Commission. He is so clueless and egocentric he actually produced a cologne called THE COMMISSIONER. Really!

The only good thing about him being back, I will have a lot to write about. Without Natacha Seijas and Joe Martinez, the pickings have been slim for me. How many times can you write about Pepe Diaz or a rant by Javier Souto?

Everyone in District 11: Vote for Felix M. Lorenzo not the little dictator.

Little dictator's Congressional campaign was a big bust.
Then on the Federal Level we have Donald Trump. Not much else to say on that: Just ick.

Walls! Borders! Hate Muslims! Bla Bla Bla!!! Have you seen my Poll Numbers?

And, we have the threat of the worst Governor EVER Rick Scott running for Senate and the reality of Marco Rubio running for Senate. Woof!

On the County Mayor race, Columnist Fabiola Santiago suggests that Mayor Gimenez should wear a body camera because of his back-room deals. Really a very good idea, she claims (rightfully):

Yet, when it comes to potential conflicts of interest and back-door dealing, the mayor has a blind spot.He delivers done-deals like the megamall-theme park boondoggle in Northwest Miami-Dade to a spineless county commission that rubber stamps instead of properly vetting community-altering projects. His developer friends line up for tax incentives (aka corporate welfare) and get them despite promises to voters that there aren’t any, as in the SkyRise Miami giant steel hairpin.

But nothing quite captures the mayor’s peculiar sense of what’s fair game as well as the richly textured portrait of Gimenez’s relationship with his re-election finance chairman, Ralph Garcia-Toledo, a veteran county contractor, by Miami Herald county hall reporter Douglas Hanks. It’s a classic, required reading on how county government operates behind the scenes.

So it goes another Sunday of barfing as you voters vote again and again for the unthinkable, the worst of the worst.

More on Felix Lorenzo....

Jockeying for State Senate and Rep Seats. By Geniusofdespair

Total Registered Voters for State Senate District 38: 228,121
Whites : 68,221
Blacks: 72,027
Hispanics: 70,415
Others:2,309
Super Voters in this Democratic district: about 50% Black
(This is the seat that Gwen Margolis resigned from - See Map)
Front Runner in Democratic District 38: Daphne Campbell (a State Representative) who has been the worst Democrat in State Government - Maybe in History

What Redistricting did: Everyone is running for office at the State level. It is mayhem. Some candidates are moving from district to district like musical chairs. Others are newbies -- never having held ANY office (Donald Trump style) but going for the top slot: State Senator. They are skipping everything else, like experience (i.e. Lauren Book, Andrew Korge, Jason Pizzo). I have been a political wonk and environmentalist for 20 years and I have never heard of some of the candidates running and neither have my political savvy friends. They have never been active in the community. Then there are those candidates that have run for office at multiple levels of government and lost. The State races are a complete mess. We have learned, by watching Rich Guy, Mayor Phillip Levine Govern Miami Beach - how clueless a newbie politician can be and dangerous to the environmental health of the County. And, for all your information candidates: Saying you support an action plan on climate change/sea level rise does not give you environmental creds. Phillip Levine supports this, and his action plan is pumping polluted water from Miami Beach's flooded streets into our pristine aquatic preserve -- as he bashes our most respected scientists and their studies on the water's quality.

Excuse me, I am going to barf. Really, I am heartsick about our future here in Miami Dade County. Today I am in despair.

David Rivera: THIS COULDN'T BE TRUE? By Geniusofdespair

David Rivera running again? OMG this throws my barf meter off the scales. He claims he is registered to run but he is not on the State Website.

NO WAY on Conservancy for Bicentennial Park (Museum Park) - will be heard today. By Geniusofdespair

The City of Miami is hearing the wacky PRIVATE Conservancy idea for Bicentennial Park (They call it Museum Park). It is happening too quickly without enough public input. Don't do it!! What is the rush, does Commissioner Marc Sarnoff need a legacy? The park has recently opened, give it a chance. I wrote about this dumb idea in depth. Read the damn article. As Clark Kent said in my article:
The park looks great now. It's better to leave well enough alone. For the first time, I actually like a park in the City of Miami and thought the City had done a good thing for the public. The park is not cluttered with crap or commercialism. The open green spaces are so few in downtown Miami, to have this in the heart of the city is an unexpected delight. But of course, this being Miami, anything that is free and good and open is eyed by private for profit special interests for their own enterprise. Let's not let that happen. What a dumb idea to consider tearing up the park to build an underground parking garage - on the Bay - and all this for an upscale restaurant?
They are so intent on stealing this park from the public, piece by piece over the years. They have one museum that can only afford a shell and another that has private parties all the time. Let the dust settle, let the Science Museum open first. What else do they want from us.....tell the City of Miami commissioners: We need more time to digest this Manny Diaz idea as we might want to barf it up.

Demetrio Perez, Jr.: What We Miss By NOT Getting The Paper Miami Herald - Barfing. By Geniusofdespair

A good barf with our coffee and cereal...we all need it!

This has been on the back page of the main section of the Miami Herald. I saw it last week too. Yes the whole damn back page, on a Sunday, and in color!!! It apparently is not a full page ad because the Miami Herald doesn't say "advertisement." I included the margins for you so you can verify what I tell you. Was this free? Is it news? Filler? Public Service? I suppose it is a REALLY EXPENSIVE ad.

Now these Demetrio Perez Jr. ads are not only a hoot, they are really barfable material if you read them. Apparently he forgot who he is and many of the things he has done. This is way up on our barf meter. OMG do we really have people this vain in our community?

You will remember that Demetrio Perez's son lived in a tool shed in his yard to run for school board. That didn't fly because he ran when the Miami Herald actually did some investigating. Anyway, Demetrio Perez is the Lincoln Marti School owner. I am racing out to buy his book...280 glossy pages. AKKK!! There are no book stores over here. Darn. I will wait till it is in the library.

I think there is a lot of good that could be done with the money for these ads. Donate it to me Demetrio so I can do an in depth look at your schools.

Wayne Rosen's Deposition for Former Homestead Mayor, Steve Bateman's Trial. By Geniusofdespair

This is Developer Wayne Rosen's deposition for the Bateman trial. It is certainly revealing and worth reading. I found it fascinating on how these guys make their deals and 'earn' money.  Oh man, this is pretty disgusting stuff. Have a barf bag handy and those of you in love with charter schools: Think twice. They are just a money maker for developers and charter school companies. There is an interesting part on Lennar.  I am surprised that Bateman did as well as he did at trial. This stuff didn't even warrant a conviction. I thought the Barrones stuff was pretty bad. As I said read it and make your own decision. Any civil action pending?

read on scrib

Too LAZY to read the whole thing?  Press read more as I have more snippets like these two. I took what I thought were the most interesting parts of the deposition and made copies for you:

Joe Centorino, Ethics Czar: Pretty much always "Let Them Go Joe". By Geniusofdespair

Stephen Shelley's wife worked for Steve Shiver at one time.  He put her in his will without her knowledge and now was trying to negate Shelley's vote against the project based on the will he produced last minute  -- bad government at its best. Why was this left out of your opinion so the public would know there was a form of extortion going on?

Joe once in a while, you could advise on the side of caution, never huh? What is wrong with... "it might be technically legal but it looks like shit because X Y Z". That is why you are known as "Let Them Go Joe." You also could look at the personalities involved. This is ethics not Rundle's office. It is a lower threshold.

I call him 'go by the book Joe.'

We need to partner with the universities and get an ethics code that makes sense. MAJOR OVER-HAUL NEEDED. Daniella Levine Cava's sister in law in involved in Ethics at the University of Miami. The County ethics department stinks to the high heavens the way it is designed. All it does is offer cover for bad behavior...i.e. "it's okay he is my brother not my son." Please let's address this, this year with our new Commissioner who ran on ethics. Let's get a better code we all can believe in. The secret discussions at the ethics meetings don't help. I was glad to talk to Councilman Shelley to hear what is really going on. And that really stinks. Because I know the two men involved, I think a new ethics complaint should be filed with the intent part of the equation.

New Strange Magazine in South Forida: "Executive". By Geniusofdespair

Don't quite understand this new glossy magazine, who it is geared for? Is it just a vehicle for wishful thinking and ego building?

The cover type was: "Legends 2014".  Here are their picks for legends:
Ron Bergeron, Alicia Cervera Sr., Burton Landy, David Lawrence, Jr., Stanley Tate and Monty Trainer.
They had a 9 page pictorial article on Ron Bergeron...torture. We have a lot to say about him too. None of it good.

Ron Bergeron
Monty Trainer?  Wasn't he in jail?  How did they pick these legends? With Cervera, she had ads, so that makes the choice of Alicia Cervera easy to figure out. I guess the criteria will never be clear to me on the choice of the others but I suspect money is involed . Stanley Tate was pictured with every Republican known to man including Ted Cruz.

Perry Ellis International said that they wish to congratulate these business legends "For their dedication to building a better community and entrepreneurial spirit." Barf.  Anyway, I won't be reading this magazine again. Ron Mann is the publisher. (Here is a file photo of Bergeron's Hummer.)

Let's Hear it for Juliette M. Blufstein of Indian Creek for giving Rick Scott's "Let's Get To Work" over $100,000: Barf Meter. By Geniusofdespair

Shahid Khan
Juliette Blufstein gave Rick Scott's 527 $100,000 1/29/2013 and $25,000 previously 7/11/2012. The strange part, she gave $2,300 to Hillary Clinton for president in 2007.  If you know her, talk her out of giving any more money to Scott's 527. Juliette, get smart, don't embarrass yourself!!!!

Frank Rodriguez
Blue Cross/Blue Shield gave him $237,500 on 3/5/2013.  William L. Edwards Trust on 3/26/2013 gave him $500,000. He is from Treasure Island. Simply Healthcare Holdings of Coral Gables gave him $150,000 3/29/2013. They are actually out of Palm Beach (Luis A. Uriarte and Frank Rodriguez). Bayfront 2011 Development LLC of Miami also gave Scott $100,000 12/17/2012 and $50,000 5/14/2013. Bayfront 2011 also gave him a donation 10/4/2013 for $175,000 (they are located at 1501 Biscayne Blvd.). That is Genting Casino's by the way, $325,000.
Snidely Whiplash

Florida Power and Light gave $250,000 6/21/2013.  Shahid Khan of Naples gave him
$250,000 9/30/2013.  Florida Crystals gave over $1,000,000.

Koch Brothers Playbook: Religious Right Messing With Our Dumber than Dirt County Commission. By Geniusofdespair

Remember my post yesterday on some our County Commissioners going to Normandy to celebrate D Day's Anniversary in June? Of course not. You didn't read it. Second chance to read it, I implore you to do so. Please read the comments there as well. The Normandy trip sounds benign except being a waste of our tax dollars. Well guess what, it is not.

You might ask yourself why Normandy? Well, a reader had the answer from Politico.com:
On a recent snowy day in the Washington suburb of Tysons Corner in Northern Virginia, some of the religious right’s wealthiest backers and top operatives gathered at the Ritz-Carlton to plot their entry into the conservative civil war.

Their plan: take a page out of the playbooks of Karl Rove and the Koch brothers by raising millions of dollars, coordinating their political spending and assiduously courting megadonors.

Plans in the works range from aggressive super PAC spending in primaries against Republicans deemed squishy on social issues, to holding a donor conference in Normandy, France, tied to the 70th anniversary of the D-Day invasion.
And:
Other ideas included the retreats, which are in some ways patterned off the twice-a-year seminars organized by the Kochs, as well as identifying a handful of key 2014 races where they could have a major impact, which would allow them to raise more in 2016 to back a socially conservative presidential candidate to take on presumed Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton.

The side session was convened by Fischer, who has been meeting with donors and operatives around Washington pitching planned retreats at the Reagan Ranch in California and in Normandy. Fischer has spoken with several high-ranking retired military officers, including an Army general, about helping to draft a campaign spending strategy that borrows from military tactics, according to sources familiar with the plan, which is still in its formative stages.

My question is, why shouldn't the Republican Party pay for this Normandy trip? It is a trip being planned by the religious right. This is certainly a post for the barf meter. Let them go, they are no threat to anyone because they are too dumb to carry out an intelligent plan but WE SHOULD NOT GIVE A DIME FOR THIS RETREAT. THIS IS A POLITICAL TRIP NOT AN ITC TRIP. WHERE IS A GOOD LAWYER WHEN YOU NEED ONE.

THIS TRIP IS SO WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS: TAX DOLLARS TO ATTEND A REPUBLICAN TEA PARTY/RELIGIOUS RIGHT PLANNED EVENT.

Mark Bell's Campaign Report. By Geniusofdespair

During his losing campaign for Homestead Mayor, Mark Bell (County Commissioner Lynda Bell's husband) had a lot of expenditures from his restaurant in his Redland Hotel.  In his campaign report, his expenses for food were: $1,618.34, $31.59, $450.09, $200.00, $52.70, $38.21 and a $1,409.82 Whistle Stop (reimbursement for stamps).

So how does this work? Should these donations from his campaign account to his restaurant have been treated as "in-kind"?  Should he be paying for stamps from his restaurant account?

I don't know exactly what is wrong here but --- commingling is going on. Will we see Lynda Bell's campaign having galas at this hotel as well? Even though she claims she doesn't own it (not on the corporate papers) she admits on a video about the hotel that it is her hotel as well (5:14).

Something doesn't sit right with me about these expenses even though he had a crushing defeat, we still should have accurate campaign reports.  Any opinions?

Funny thing about the video, at the end they caught a view of someone who looks amazingly like the Mayor's best friend Ralph Garcia Toledo.  Now what would he be doing there? The video was published April 3, 2013. I do not know when it was taken.

His wife Vicky Garcia-Toledo is a lobbyist for CH2M Hill as of 9/20/2013. Ralph is not registered. This is the contract about which Lynda Bell said she was "concerned" 14 times in 2 1/2 Minutes.

Photo: Matt Alvarez, SVP for CH2M Hill. Was the contract under the cone of silence when this was taken?

Revisionist History: Lynda Bell takes credit for ideas from FRANK NERO, the man she got fired. By Geniusofdespair

Lie in the Beacon Council Newsletter: This gives me the trots and makes me want to barf.
I wrote about this November 21st. This part deserves repeating:

I spoke to someone with close ties to Nero and Beacon:
The woman told me, he (FRANK NERO) had proposed this for years as a necessary tool to identify development areas especially in the urban core but also for areas in south Dade. This recommendation went back as far as when Penelas created "urban task force" and this was one of his recommendations. Frank repeatedly made this recommendation to the commission over the years as he needed the county to participate. It fell on deaf ears. When Bell attacked Beacon He again reiterated this proposal. He even wrote her a lengthy memo on this concept. She waited until Nero left and then introduced the resolution saying at the time that her attack on Nero/Beacon was NOT personal. It was reported in Miami today when Nero recommended to her that this GIS program be adopted. There are numerous memos from Nero over the years to the commission recommending this program. It is disingenuous for Bell to accept credit.

Beacon Council Former Head, Frank Nero, Gets the Shaft...Again. By Geniusofdespair

Roman Emperor Nero
Like the ancient emperors of Rome when new emperors would expunge their predecessors names from all the records, buildings and monuments, Miami follows suit with former CEO of the Beacon Council, also named Nero, coincidentally.

In its revisionist history, they send a press release on something Frank worked on for years, trying to get commission approval, without even acknowledging his part in it (Note Lynda Bell, who was instrumental in getting rid of Frank Nero, gets much of the credit for Frank's work):

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY AND THE BEACON COUNCIL LAUNCH GEOSPATIAL WEBSITE TO ATTRACT JOBS AND INVESTMENTS

www.miamidadesites.com features vacant industrial and commercial properties, demographics and business information

(MIAMI, November 19, 2013) - Miami-Dade County, in conjunction with The Beacon Council, is launching the www.miamidadesites.com website, which depicts available vacant industrial and commercial properties. The website is based on user-defined criteria for Miami-Dade County utilizing geographically based demographic and business information, and also enables broker registration to highlight available parcels.

"This new website will allow businesses wishing to locate or expand in Miami-Dade County a literal 'bird's eye' view on available properties, and provide The Beacon Council with yet another tool to assist those businesses with their location strategies," said Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez. "We should thank Commissioner Bell for her leadership on this matter, and continue working together to use technology as a means to further economic development for all of Miami-Dade County."  (Me: barf)

The website is based on a directive from Resolution R-250-13, prime sponsored by Vice Chair Lynda Bell and approved by the Board of County Commissioners on April 2, 2013, that requested the development of a geospatial layer analysis and database of vacant industrial and commercial lands. This geospatial instrument is meant to assist The Beacon Council and other economic development organizations in their mission of attracting business development to Miami-Dade County.

"The Geospatial Website is an innovative technology which gives businesses, small and large, the feasibility to analyze the benefits of obtaining available industrial and commercial properties in Miami-Dade County. With this technology, businesses will have better knowledge on the value of establishing or expanding operations within our County," said Vice Chair Bell. "The Geospatial Website will give our community an advantage in attracting potential employers to Miami-Dade over other markets. As this website reaches its full potential, our residents, the real-estate community and businesses alike will be provided numerous benefits."

"This new site provides the information companies need to make investment decisions, and that helps us grow and attract businesses to our county," said Larry K. Williams, President and CEO of The Beacon Council, Miami-Dade County's official economic development partnership. "We are fortunate to have public partners who understand the role technology plays in economic development."
Frank Nero...the other Nero
I thought the Beacon Council was more of a separate entity. Do we have a puppet there now? Looks like it is joined at the hip now with the county taking credit for everything. Shame on you Mayor for giving Lynda credit for what others actually did. Frank might be gone but don't erase his legacy.  I guess this gets on my barf meter.

Commissioners Move the Urban Development Boundary: Will that Open the Door for a Run by Xavier Suarez? By Geniusofdespair

Will County Commission Xavier Suarez be the next Mayor of Miami Dade County? They are throwing shit on him here on my blog every time I talk about him, that is a good indication that people are scared of the prospect. Am I scared of the prospect? No. Not at all. And don't piss on him here, I know his background and history with the City of Miam but I am looking ahead not backwards. You have to understand, these are anonymous comments and enemies know how to write. It is a sure bet that Carlos Gimenez will have a challenger.

Suarez was the only one who voted against moving the UDB line yesterday.

Watch the video when it is posted later today. It is 5 hours, I will find tidbits to post when it is up and I stop barfing.

Read the article in the Miami Herald Miami Dade Commissioners expand Urban Development Boundary:

Commissioners agreed to expand the UDB with an 11-1 vote, with Sosa, Vice Chairwoman Lynda Bell and Commissioners Bruno Barreiro, Esteban “Steve” Bovo, Jose “Pepe” Diaz, Sally Heyman, Barbara Jordan, Dennis Moss, Jean Monestime, Javier Souto and Juan C. Zapata in favor. Commissioner Xavier Suarez voted against. Commissioner Audrey Edmonson was absent from the vote.

Note this was an EAR hearing, what they did was not noticed for public hearing. I would have gone if I knew the Commissioners were up to no good.

Barf Meter is Working Overtime. By Geniusofdespair

Yes that is Mayor Carlos Gimenez at Mark Bell's fundraiser at the Redland Hotel. Lynda Bell's husband Mark is running for Mayor of Homestead. What the hell happened to Carlos? Did he get a lobotomy? He is in all the wrong places maybe he has lost his way. Having a ally on the BCC, doesn't mean you have to give up all your principles Carlos.

Get Ready To Barf. By Geniusofdespair

Someone in the county -- tell me why Rebeca Sosa appointed Lynda? Come on Pepe have someone email me: Geniusofdespair@yahoo.com. Why is our chair bestowing all the treasures on ONE County Commissioner.  Where is the love for Pepe? You all know I like Rebeca but her strange love fest for Lynda is alienating me. This is a definite for my barf meter label.

Here is the press release:

County Commission Vice Chair Lynda Bell Named New Miami-Dade Sports Commission Chairwoman

MIAMI (June 27, 2013) – Miami-Dade County Commission Vice Chair Lynda Bell was named the new Miami-Dade Sports Commission Chairwoman, taking over for County Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz, who served as Chairman of the Board from 2006 until January 2013. As Chairwoman of the Board, Bell will oversee the Miami-Dade Sports Commission, a public-private 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization charged with bringing sports tourism to Miami-Dade County.

“It is a distinct pleasure for me to serve as the new Chair of the Miami-Dade Sports Commission,” said Chair Bell. “Our diverse community has become a major player in the field of sports. In this new capacity, it is my intention to aggressively develop strategies to help enhance our standing around the country and on the world stage by helping to establish new sport franchises in Miami-Dade County and bring as many sporting events to South Florida.

“These initiatives will help revitalize our local economy by bringing more sports tourists to our community, prolonging their stay here by visiting our world-class hotels, restaurants, and tourist attractions. I look forward to working closely with Executive Director, Jose Sotolongo, and all the dedicated staff at the Miami-Dade Sports Commission to achieve these goals.”

“We are very excited to have the opportunity to work with Vice Chair Lynda Bell and her staff as we continue our efforts to make Miami-Dade County the Sports Capital of the World,” said Jose Sotolongo, Executive Director of the Miami-Dade Sports Commission.

Mayor Gimenez Holds Fundraiser for Lynda Bell. By Geniusofdespair

Brian? Is that you?

Got this email from Brian Goldmeir - ICK, the Mayor is such a disappointment:

I hope you are having a great Friday Afternoon!  I wanted to let you know about a fundraiser that Mayor Carlos Gimenez will be hosting for his Friend & Colleague Vice-Chair of the Miami-Dade Commission Lynda Bell to help her kickoff her re-election campaign.

The event will be at the home of Ralph & Vicky Garcia-Toledo on Wednesday, May 1st from 6:00pm - 7:30pm.

Just so you know it is not too late to join the Host Committee!

Sounds like a whose who of Lobbyists. She can raise all the money in the world, and I predict she will have $700,000 to $800,000 because she is a reliable a bad votes on just about everything.  This event is being held after her famous luncheon for those over 55.

I would never vote for her. But then I don't have the choice, thankfully I don't live in the district.

Would you want to be endorsed by this guy? By Geniusofdespair

I DID NOT WRITE THE FOLLOWING, ONLY THE WORDS IN CAPS ARE MINE.  THIS IS QUOTED FROM A PRESS RELEASE FROM THAT WACKY GUY VERDUGO OF THE CHRISTIAN FAMILY COALITION. (I LIKE CJ AND I LIKE DENNIS MOSS... HIS POSITIONS I LIKE MOST OF THE TIME. IN THIS CASE I AGREE WITH DENNIS MOSS):

"Homosexualist "leader" loses credibility
trying to cover up hate and discrimination!
His "Official Statement" undermines his credibility"

(IS HOMOSEXUALIST EVEN A WORD?)

"The "head" of local homosexualist group "SAVE Dade", exposed his brazen bigotry and intolerance of Christians by trying to cover up hate and discrimination against the residents of Miami-Dade County, alerts today the Christian Family Coalition, Florida's premiere human rights and social justice organization. (WHAT?...BRAZEN BIGOTRY?)

C.J. Ortuno, who bills himself as being "anti-discrimination," issued an "official statement" released on the March 6th, 2013 Miami Herald blog calling County Com. Dennis Moss "a leader who wants to ensure every Miami-Dade resident is treated with the same rights and respect." Does C.J. really believe that? Why is he covering up the facts? The facts speak quite differently.

On Tuesday, December 4th, as CFC successfully got the Miami-Dade County Commssion to restore legislative invocations, or prayers, at all County Commission meetings, Moss lost all control and defamed his own community along with CFC members and supporters by disrespectfully calling prayer ordinance supporters "racist, anti-immigrant and h---phobic", whatever that last slur means."

VERDUGO CLEARLY KNOWS WHAT THE QUOTE MEANS. DENNIS MOSS GAVE EXAMPLES FROM PAST ENCOUNTERS WITH THE CFC, AND THE HISTORY OF THE CC/CFC, EXPLAINING FULLY HIS REASONING.

LYNDA BELL, JOHN DUBOIS, A GOOD BUT MISGUIDED JUDGE, AMONG OTHERS LIKE MIGUEL DIAZ DE LA PORTILLA AND ERIK FRESEN, WERE ENDORSED BY THIS VERDUGO GROUP.

HOLY CRAP! THERE IS MORE TO THIS PRESS RELEASE:

"Homosexualist "leader" C.J. Ortuno sadly lost all credibility by brazenly trying to cover up for Com. Moss' blatant act of hate, defamation, and discrimination at last December 4th's Commission meeting. It is deeply troubling and offensive that Mr. Ortuno would deliberately ignore the facts and dishonestly attempted to justify the unjustifiable.

Given the opportunity to do the right thing, Mr. Ortuno turned his back on his own community and betrayed the very values of equality and respect he so angrily demands for himself. Certainly, he does not speak for most of the members and supporters of the group he leads, who may not agree with CFC, but that certainly do not condone disrespect, defamation, or discrimination of any kind, against anyone."

OMG, HERE IS WHAT CJ OF "SAVE DADE" SAID THAT IS SO OFFENSIVE TO VERDUGO (SEEMS LIKE A VOICE OF REASON):

SAVE Dade expresses deep concern over the recent actions taken at the Miami-Dade Commission meeting by the Christian Family Coaliftion. It is truly unfortunate and highly offensive that Mr. Verdugo continues to target Commissioner Moss for his leadership on ensuring every Miami-Dade resident is treated with the same rights and respect. We also commend Chairwoman Rebecca Sosa for her efforts to maintain decorum and ensure that respect is shown by all when addressing the Commission. We look forward to the work ahead as SAVE Dade continues the fight to safeguard the values and rights of every resident of Miami-Dade County.

POLITICIANS WHY DO YOU GIVE VERDUGO CREDIBILITY? DO NOT GO THERE FOR ENDORSEMENTS. RENOUNCE YOUR CFC ENDORSEMENT IF YOU HAVE ONE. I LOVE CHRISTIANS. I AM A CHRISTIAN. THIS IS NOT CHRISTIAN SPEAK. CFC JUST HAPPENS TO HAVE THE WORD "CHRISTIAN" IN ITS NAME.

CJ Ortuño's Response today to this blog post.

YOU CAN LISTEN TO DENNIS MOSS  - THIS VIDEO  IS FROM THEIR WEBSITE - AND DECIDE FOR YOURSELF. I URGE YOU TO WATCH IT.  I SAY "GOOD SPEECH DENNIS MOSS":

Natacha Seijas vs. Lynda Bell: My Best Video Ever...I Think. By Geniusofdespair

Direct to YouTube

What do you think...it actually has a plot.

Everyone should understand that what looks like nice behavior on TV really isn't. Lynda Bell is seen complimenting Natacha Seijas's appearance and is all cheery and bubbly to her, as she lectures Natacha and stabs her in the back on Natacha's own legislation. What betrayal.

If you know the whole story, you can see when manipulative commissioners are on attack. This video gives you the back-story of what is going on. It is a short tutorial. For Bell to sit there and say to Seijas I am giving my money to this OTHER charity when she knows Seijas is there for the good of her own charity/job, is downright rude. Not that Seijas hasn't earned it. But Bell is supposed to be her friend.  She didn't have to vote for Seijas's proposal, that was bad enough, but the OTHER charity reference was a low blow by Lynda -- to the woman who is responsible for her election.

And, just a side note, having commissioners work for charities that the commission funds is a bad idea.
