Does Senator Marco Rubio Have the Donald Trump Playbook? By Geniusofdespair

The most disturbing thing in the Newspaper today was not Donald Trump. In a race to the bottom, Marco Rubio wins again today. Our Senator Marco Rubio is essentially saying: "If you are against me you are scum, worse left wing." In a letter to the editor of the Miami Herald Loren Foutz said:
A spokesman for Senator Marco Rubio characterized the people who were demonstrating outside Rubio’s Doral office Tuesday as a group of left-wing, paid protesters.

As a long time Democrat, I take great offense to his politically-charged comment that is 100 percent untrue.

We were a group of Democrats peacefully expressing our concern with the selection of cabinet members and the policies of the POTUS about immigration. We were not protesting against Senator Rubio.

I do not understand why he would malign a group of citizens requesting his support.

I am baffled by his disrespect.
I am baffled by his disrespect as well. He was elected to represent everyone in his State not just those that voted for him. Friends have tried to get an appointment with him and you can't get one. Talk to Rebeca Sosa, Marco. I am sure she will lecture you on manners as she has them. She has always been polite. There were also demonstrations at his Orlando Office, reported by the Orlando Sentinel, and one of the protesters said EXACTLY WHAT I WROTE JANUARY 31st:

Bill Benedict of Longwood, who held a sign reading “Resist Bigots”, said he believes the fast-moving actions of the administration are no accident.

“That’s the strategy,” he said. Keep the non-sequiturs coming loud and fast, and the population becomes distracted and they slip in things."

Slip in things like Bannon being appointed the top dog on the Security Council, Generals demoted. In the race to the bottom, Marco Rubio is the winner again. He also won on January 24th.

When sleazy politicians can't respond to protesters, they change the real issues into diversions like paid operatives, left wing troublemakers, or unruly demonstrators. The only way to get to these slimy elected officials is to continue to hold them accountable. Go to their town hall meetings, offices and don't let them play their diversion games.

You won't be seeing any town hall meetings!

Senator Marco and his aide, Bovo's wife, must be giving instructions to the County Commission Chairman on how to stifle and ignore dissent.

The mayor known as the "father-of-a-lobbyist-named-Carlos Gimenez" has shown complete and utter disrespect for the Board and their Policy Resolutions. Who cares about the policy instructing the administration to not do free "courtesy holds" of the undocumented inmates for ICE? This gutless Commission will do nothing to defend their own policies! Bovo will use the gavel to silence any challenge to the mayor.

Chair Bovo does not want there to be any public dissent or discussion about the new Anti-Immigrant stance of Miami-Dade County. Don't hold your breath expecting Daniella or any of the others, including the sponsors of the policy, to resist. #Sad.

What baffles me is how Miami Cubans can support Trump (the president responsible for hiring Steve Bannon) who describes himself as a Leninist. Isn't that Leninist philosophy that forced Cuban to flee the island in the first place? Goes to figure, if you turn the dial far enough to the right you go past fascism and you end up back around at communism.

Learn to never be disappointed in Rubio. He is an eternal opportunist with no principles. The only time that he will show reason is when he is threatening to withhold his vote from those who need it. Pretty typical of most FL politicians.

Time to be looking for candidates to oppose this guy. Really! Now! Anyone out there?

Totally agree. I think a toad could do better.

It is very SIMPLE. SIx years from now, if he is still in that seat, VOTE him out.

All this protesting, marching up and down, meetings after meetings, high blood pressure, excessive discontent and the like could have been avoided, if people had just simply registered to vote, and then voted against Trump. The Vote is where the action is. It is the place set up for you to make your feelings and opinions known. And as you found out, votes count. People knew up front what was at stake for them personally, for their families, their neighbors, the larger communities, the country, and the world. Trump made it very clear what he was going to do, in very simple terms. If protesting will help you get ready to vote in two years, then protest as much as you want. But if you and a lot of other people don't step up and VOTE in two years, it's gonna be worse!

Evidently Rubio has been listening to the king of right wing radio, Limbaugh as he used the same description this week "group of left-wing, paid protesters" I know because I listen now and then to see how he deceives his listeners....Steve Hagen

We told you he was no good from the get go and complained through his tenure in the senate. But, you voted for him anyway. Votes have consequences, now die if you lose your ACA, see your relatives and friends deported, and watch your sons die in Trump-created wars . . .

They are moving rather quickly getting ready for the deportation initiative. There is a 700-bed federal prison under construction near the FL/GA line to hold illegal immigrants while they await deportation. Cost $116 million, and a no bid contract. For illegals in Miami that may be their next residence before going back to their home country.
