Good question second to last anon. Bell defied odds in Homestead by being a one term sitting Mayor which had never happened. She's just that toxic. She will resurface somewhere in politics, where is anyone's guess. She's not educated enough for a professional career and I think she's blown through that favor meter but who knows. Maybe she'll be a CFC spokesperson.
There is enough "bad" truth about Bell so as not to have to make up stuff or spout off errors. There have been other one term Mayors in Homestead; Fred Rhodes, Marshall House and most Mayors serving prior to 1970. We do boot out the bad guys once in a while.
Lynda Bell go to work really???? She wouldn’t know what an honest day’s work looks like. Believe me she will be back… she’s already looking for another seat to warm for her usual one term, she a cockroach she will never go away. For now all we can say is adios cucaracha!!!!!

1) Lynda Bell screwed herself. 2) Standards should be in place for all Commissioners, not just Ms. Levine Cava. If anything, she will be under a more discerning eye from constituents having just been elected. 3) Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!
Not trying to start bash on bell, she has always been a lighting rod. It's about Daniella and her organization overcoming historically impossible odds. No one downtown seems to have a memory going back that far. I was just trying to source the wisdom of the crowd. Thanks

I think south Dade and districts 7and 8 should be another state belonging to (the new Soviet Union ) since the majority of the elected officials are communists and are controlled by the unions an
bell will be great as front desk attendant at the Redland motel....they are taking odds on how fast the for sale sign will go up without the county funding to the bell motel we give it 8 month lets see

The hardest part of any election is for the families to wake up to find ugly untruths splashed out to the world about their family member and even themselves. I am sure it makes them cringe and want to defend their loved one. Thank you for having the strength to grit your teeth and move on through the process.
PS: FPL and their nuke workers will fund the hotel. It will become a boarding house for the transient staff for the nukes that everyone is having crammed down throats.
Word is coming out that Daniela has met with Commissioner Jordan and Moss to discuss working together and building coalitions to take back our government. This is great news and shows she has hit the ground running.
One's faith in our democratic system of governance has been rejuvenated by Daniella's win. Now it is necessary to cleanse the County Commission of the "lifers" who seem to think being a Commissioner is an entitlement and not a cultural, moral, and social obligation. The recall of an egotistical, incompetent Mayor would be a fine beginning!
Sunshine has to do only with things that are likely to come up on a vote or have foreseeable action taken on them by the commission, not saying hello and moving in and so forth.
The election is over. Cava won. She is not in office yet and should be meeting with her fellow commissioners since Bell, last I heard, has not contacted her to help with a smooth transition. It is imperative Cave is as informed as she can be. She is not violating Sunshine, she's doing due diligence as she should be on behalf of our District and Miami Dade County, if in fact she is meeting with her soon to be fellow commissioners. Maybe other commissioners staff can assist her as well because something tells me Bell will be as destructive as possible heading out the door. She has not proven to be a gracious loser.

It sure isn't transparent. I heard that the County Attorney issued a memorandum advising against the meetings.
