Justin Unger as Deputy Superintendent for both Everglades and Dry Tortugas National Parks effective March 3. Unger was formerly the Chief of Administration for the National Mall and Memorial Parks.

Kimball was great superintendent with a history of balancing bad public policy with the needs of the environment we know as Everglades National Park. I hope that Mr. Unger develops a love of the park in the way that Mr. Kimball did. The Everglades are a long way from The National Mall.
We need the Feds to protect the Everglades.

Kimball is/was a nice fellow. However he never 'fought' for the environment as the Super, he towed the company line. Rightly so, he pension was more important than clean water and rock pits adjacent to his park. We can only hope Unger is as affable was Kimbell was/is.
