Lynda Bell Said Her Daughter Made 7 Offers for a House So She was Lifting a Deed Restriction. By Geniusofdespair

Watch the video. Okay, I hope this is not your daughter Jenna we are talking about County Commissioner Lynda Bell. You said your daughter couldn't find a house. I wrote about this subject October 16th.

You said your daughter made 7 offers and could not get a house. When you said this Oct. 3, 2012, Jenna had $6,000 in her savings account and $200 in her checking account. Her Husband had a job for 4 months and Jenna had her job for a year.  He was making $1,600 a month and she was making $1,554.80 bi-monthly. Jenna had two jobs listed on the form that she worked one month at. This  is according to a Fannie Mae HUD form she filled out February 17, 2012. Jenna also filled out the same form October 21, 2011 and was rejected November 21, 2012.

No one is going to sell you a house with those numbers and those salaries Lynda. She could have made 1,000 offers, she wasn't getting a house. You need 20% down now. Adding inventory is not going to make it easier for her. Saving her money would. Where is this $80,000 subordinate financing coming from? It wasn't on the form.

So you voted to lift a 30 year deed restriction because your daughter could not get a house because her credit just wasn't good enough? Or as they say in the trade, it was trash. You didn't even give a hoot about the thousands of us out here who considered this 30 year Covenant a solemn oath between us and our County Commission. Not one word.

Both Commissioners Sally Heyman and Dennis Moss said the 30 year Covenant that promised NO RESIDENTIAL was important to them. At the time of the vote less than 5 years ago, many said they were voting to move the UDB line for the office complex BECAUSE of the 30 year Covenant. But here you are lifting it because your daughter did not do any planning to purchase a house including saving and keeping a job. This covenant was important to all of us. The urban development boundary was MOVED because of it. But heck, maybe it will help your daughter, and that is all that matters to you isn't it?

Second you said on the video that you went to a school for urban design planning. You didn't say you took a course (which is probably more accurate). Exactly what school was that? Did you go for a weekend retreat or something? You just can't say anything you want on the dais. You have to be honest with us folks. We don't like to be mislead and we check what you say.

Exactly what we want is mixed use...but not out near the Everglades. You had better take that course again Lynda. Also have you no feelings for the people devastated by all those foreclosures? They are families just like yours. Except they are homeless. Should your daughter be able to profit off of their distress, you think so. I see in the records your daughter found a foreclosure. Was it with help from public funds? Your family does game the system.

So depressing. If Lynda spent have as much time educating herself as does wrangling ways to help her family, she would be a smarter person. Instead, Bell is street smart and selfish.

Wow. So depressing. Bell and other commissioners keep voting Yes to invade the Everglades. Why don't they bother to get educated on urban infill?

Urban infill is not in the LBA handbook. It takes real skill & planning. It's easier to buy cheap farmland without concern for those pesky jobs or roads or public transport or anything. It's all about the building the cheapest homes possible on the cheapest land. It's not about urban planning, it's about profiting off the mass destruction of our natural resources, which is what Bell and the URM do on a "Daily Basis". Of course, this is when they're not giving away our public park, bay front and beaches.

Democracy for sale. It's the only procurement area where being the highest bidder counts.

Lynda Bell is pimping her own daughter to provide an excuse for a bad decision. Shame on you Bell. In reality, you have only humilitated your daughter. I shudder to think that this person actually has arrest powers and is permitted to carry a weapon. She would never make in the the Federal system as her finances put her in a category of risk so she never would be graned even lower level security clearance.

Thank you voters of District 8 in showing your stupidity in chosing your elected leadership. Hopefully you voters will "come to Jesus" and vote out this political hag and send someone of subtance and quality to represent District 8 at the BCC.

Maybe Fra Bell need to change the zoning on her residence from single family to multi family, its current actual use, because after reading what you put up ther Genius, it is clear that her daughter will never be able to move out.

This is scary. Commission Bell is trying to devalue property in Miami-Dade County to the point where her bad credit daughter can finally afford a house.

How disingenuous ! Any excuse to justify more building.

She can afford to move out now with all the lucrative fence contracts they are getting because of Ma Bell

The urban core has 10,000+ vacant lots. Many are on existing mass transit lines. So much opportunity.

I thought she wanted a Double Wide?
I'm sure she can afford one, beats that lil ol trailer in the back of mama Bells back yard.

It is seriously hard to read about the Bell family. And this lady is a County Commissioner? I thought we were an urban county. Bell looks and acts like she is from Neshoba County Mississippi.

Cash is king. My credit is trash I can't get a mortgage I have to pay all cash. What is wrong with Linda BELL that she can understand that? That is why people work very hard to preserve the credit rating. Bad credit? The only thing that can help is cash.

Maybe your daughter should be renting like the rest of the people that don't have any credit or any cash.

Sorry: can't understand that.

Maybe that's why Eddie left for Jackson ..Ma Bell could get him a house either !
This lady is closer to being a brain surgeon than an "urban planner" ... And we know she doesn't even have a Brain!

She has no moral compass .. And this is the person the Giminezites have doing their bidding .. Sosa picker Ma Bell to head economic development and be vice chair of the commission. They in the long run will reap what they have sown.. Shameful..
Daniella are you ready ..? The district needs you .. The county needs you ..a person with intelligence .. Integrity ..and able to make her decisions based upon doing the right thing for the public ... Not what benefits herself and the Ma Bell hillbillies !

Poor Jenna. Even the bank of Dubois appears not to consider her credit-worthy.
