Stephen Cody Suspended and it is not for writing crummy books with Natacha Seijas. By Geniusofdespair

I also found this mugshot. Looks like DeGrandy's pal Cody is a very bad boy.
Troublesome Palmetto Bay attorney, Stephen Cody has got himself in hot water...He is suspended for a year by the Florida Supreme Court. I suppose it will give him more time to write children's books about bullys with his co-author Natacha Seijas.

This is the second time he has been in trouble with the Florida Bar.  We know him because he represented Natacha Seijas in a couple of court cases.  He also filed that spurious lawsuit against Eugene Flinn with that "resign to run" flap.  Who knew Cody also had a mugshot. Found that by accident. Why are these Palmetto Bay "boys" so bad? Too much testosterone in the water? Link to his offense.

He knows better than to do what he did. He must have pissed off a lot of people to get held in contempt.

Mr. Cody is certainly making his family proud by building a record. He appears to have knowingly passed bad checks. Mr. Code received an ADMONSIHMENT from the Florida Bar for what it termed minor conduct on April 13, 2011. Mr Cody was assisting a Medicare provider who had been denied re-enrollment. No services were provided after this client paid Cody over $5,000.00. The year long suspension included a finding of contempt. This boy has issues. State charges, restitution and being forced to pay restitution to clients over $14,000.00. Bad Checks.

You would have to be desparate to use this guy as your lawyer.

Didn't Cody do work for the Bell campaign in 2010?

Yes

Mr. Cody worked hard for the Bell campaign defending her on the post election AB investigation. THank you Cody for placing your CFC homophobes in office. Perhaps the Florida Bar should have set the condition that he cooperate in naming names of those involved in AB fraud before they restore his right to practice law. Man up Cody. Redeem yourself by turning State's evidence.

Would you buy a book from this man?

"Book 'em" Dano.

His parents should be charged with leaving the scene of an accident.

Isn't this the same Stephen Cody that was involved in municipal redistricting? Guess they'll let just anyone in the Florida bar these days...

Don't forget Cody was involved with bad boy Miguel De Grandy. Why can't we get all these sleeze bags put in jail?

I knew that bullying book smelled like a desperate get-rich-quick scheme. And it was clear to me that Cody had a spending problem when I saw how much money he wasted on the stupid and unnecessary cartoon to promote the book. What a loser!

P.S. As I am sure you know, Cody is your most loyal reader. I have no doubt he is going absolutely mental seeing his mugshot and reading your post and these comments over and over again. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy! LOL!

I wonder how Mr. Community, Dave Lawrence feels having promoted a book for a passer of bad checks and now disgraced attorney?

Like the former Miami Herald publisher has ANY credibility?

I wonder why Mr. Cody has not responded as of yet to this blog post?
