In a poll conducted by St. Pete Polls, Tampa residents nixed the stadium funding idea by a long shot:
But it's the response to the question about what to do with funds for downtown redevelopment that will be available in a couple of years that stands out.
31 percent of those surveyed said that those funds should go towards the homeless.
26 percent said it should go towards improving transportation.
13 percent it should go towards police and fire.
12 percent said it go towards constructing a new stadium for the Tampa Bay Rays, should they opt to leave Tropicana Field.
