Liberty City Miami Video - don't miss it. County Commissioners and City Commissioners, over 60,000 people have viewed this video so I suggest you watch it too. I am baffled by Black men routinely calling each other "nigger" in the 4 parts of this series. The older men for the most part were impressive. One man hugged his 'A' student daughter and talked of his goal to be a role model for her. Another man gave us the history of the Hampton House, where black entertainers stayed in the 1950's. Mostly I was saddened by the lack of concrete future plans by some of the young men, who said getting up late was important to them. Camaraderie among the younger men was strong in all 4 parts of this series.
It was directed by an Australian filmmaker. He said:
I hope this film is of interest to your blog and that it can be publicised in a future article.
My aim in producing this Documentary series is to give the people of Liberty City a voice. Though currently known for its Bad and Ugly aspects, there is also much Good in Liberty City; and the words "Hope" and "Never Give Up" remain strong in each individual in the City.

Sad......
Work ethics and family values are bad words, except on Sundays at church when everyone claims to be 'different'. 'Sad' is a three letter word.
A vicious cycle unfortunately.
The documentary makes Liberty City look like a war zone. It appears that every day has several hours of calm preceeding many hours of crimes. Better elected officials are needed. The cycle needs to be stopped.
