Gimleteye: Don't cry for the Marlins

Honestly, how could the Miami Herald critique the Miami Marlins and Jeffrey Loria without mentioning that the $525 million retractable-roof ballpark -- three fourths financed with public dollars -- is owned by the Marlins; making this a no-lose deal for Loria. The time will come when Loria makes a small fortune liquifying his investment made with the help of Miami and Miami-Dade politicians. When that happens, Miami Dade voters will be inhaling fumes from Loria's private jet as it taxies to the runway and flies away.

I became a season ticket holder for the Miami Marlins this season largely in part to embrace and support our community, inspite of the cost to the taxpayers in building the stadium park. Mr. Loria and Samson have demonstrate their total disregard to this community and looted the team why should we continue to be season ticket holders? I will not renew by tickets. Furthermore, Mr. Loria can never be compared Mr. Steinbrenner. The Boss was a class act. Mr. Loria nneds to ask MLB find a new owner for the team Miami deserve it.
