Dementia at Republican National Convention: how not to win independent voters ... by gimleteye
Clint Eastwood offered borderline dementia to wild Republican applause at the GOP national convention. The mass amnesia encouraged by Jeb! ("Stop blaming my brother!") was another aspect of the GOP effort to herd American voters into its high-walled cattle chutes. Let's be clear on the facts: Barack Obama inherited an economy on the edge of a second Great Depression, triggered by a housing boom that picked the pockets of millions of gullible consumers. "The Ownership Society." Remember? Then, a major war triggered by a Republican administration by lying to the American people. Either dottering old age or mercury poisoning: Clint Eastwood played an authoritarian father in old age, struggling to add a positive result from all that went wrong in the family past. The Eastwood demographic laughed at his line about "mental masochists" but had moderate Republicans scratching their heads and hair, if they had any left after last night.
