It is questionable whether County Commissioner Audrey Edmonson can avoid a runoff (she would have to garner 50% of the vote in the primary).  Last week Nadia Pierre joined the other 4 candidates in that race to challenge Audrey - there are 6 now in the District 3 race. Bruno Barreiro's race has 4 candidates. I expect a few candidates to jump ship before June 5th.  Here is a video of Nadia Pierre.  She seems like a serious candidate, well-spoken.

If you want to run for County Commission it is $360 and the date to qualify is by noon on June 5th. Commissioners Steve Bovo and Xavier Suarez don't have any challengers.

The primary election is 8/14/2012.
