Same sex marriages and President Obama ... by gimleteye

It was a very smart move to draw another bright line ("Corporations are not people") separating the GOP challenger, Mitt Romney from the majority of American voters.

The Christian Family Coalition (Anthony Verdugo) ain't so happy:

"So as you can tell, as disheartening as the news of Mr. Obama endorsing the imposition of homosexual "so-called" marriage may be, we are clearly winning the battle for marriage in America and will continue to do so as long as you continue to speak up, speak loud and speak proud, for marriage as one man, one woman!"

This will make the T Party people like Romney even more:

WASHINGTON (AP) — Mitt Romney on Thursday countered the notion that he bullied high school classmates and insisted he didn't know some were gay.

The Republican presidential candidate apologized to anyone he may have offended by what he said were "hijinks and pranks during high school." His comments in a hastily arranged radio interview followed a Washington Post report Thursday that he had held down classmate John Lauber and cut off his bleached blond hair when they were classmates at a prestigious boarding school in the wealthy Detroit suburb of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.

The Post suggested Lauber was bullied because he was gay.

"The people involved didn't come out of the closet until years later," Romney told a Fox News radio show. "I had no idea that this person might have been gay."

"I participated in a lot of hijinks and pranks during high school and some may have gone too far. And for that I apologize," Romney added.

As a straight male who was raised as a Christian, I am very proud of our President for finally doing this. Based on what I was taught about Christ, I feel certain that the “Son of God” would have felt the same way.

This from Obama is nothing! It's just his own personal statement. We need him to get members of congress to sponsor a bill. Something with teeth. I see his comments as just a "feel-good, pat on the back"?
" I'm with you guys, ok? Now you keep fighting for what you want on your own!". It's just political speak, doesn't impress me.
