His 2nd ex-wife Cire Andino Shiver works as Bovo's legislative aide. Cire was a county employee in the Communications department when Shiver began "dating" her. He was the county manager and married.
Steve made a splash, pun intended on a N.C. country road while half in the bag upon his departure from MD County. Wonder what is in store for our roads if he returns? Last time he was here the panther population dropped in the Card Sound area. Then again it did benefit the tract housing production in the southern end of Homestead. Coincidence?

The NC deal he was brought in as a crisis manager has been completed with his negotiating a $1.5m buyout of the park and it will now be reopened. I have seen Steve work and quite frankly, he is one of the brighter points of light in South Florida politics and busIness a like. Welcome home Steve of you are coming back. We missed ya....

Steve Shiver was completely unqualified to be a County Manager. He was appointed by the shyster Alex Penelas. Needless to say Alex Penelas's career hit a dead end. Shiver helped ruin the County.
You are all idiots. Shiver is a good man and his family is a rock in our community. His son had many haters in nc because he was such a success in sports. O one ever beat his step son, he was doing things he shouldn't and got disciplined appropriately. Why do you think he now lives back with steve and Donna. He loves them.
Okay, i'm sure everyone has a reason for their remarks on Mr. Shiver and maybe even some based on personal accounts; however, please keep in mind that he is also a real person (believe it or not). And keep in mind that his work inherently involved being in the public eye, which always makes an easy target for critics/haters. My point is, just because many people do not agree with his prior business practices, does not make him a criminal. I mean, nobody is perfect - especially in the world of government and it's politics.
Therefore, all of you tyrants who so typically call out and rally for someone's head to roll simply based on things you hear or suspect, look at yourselves. It's pretty obvious that those of you who are publicly hating this guy do so for vested personal reasons OR political retaliation/gain - not because you genuinely care for the public's well being. Has Mr. Shiver ever strayed from the path of ethical righteousness as alleged? I do not know. Deep down, is he truly a decent, caring human being with a good heart and good intentions - the answer is yes. Steve Shiver headed back to Miami? Well, why should you care.
