Save the date, the Tropical Audubon Society will have their 65th annual celebration of conservation in South Florida - Wing Ding 2012! They said:
Join the South Florida community as we celebrate this past year with food, a silent auction, an awards presentation, our keynote speaker Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez, and live music from the Southbound Suspects.
Our program will begin at 5 p.m. with an awards ceremony followed by a keynote address given by Mayor Carlos Gimenez. We will present our Polly Redford Citizen Conservation Award to Hunter Reno and The Dan Beard Government Conservation Award to Commissioner Dennis Moss. Joy Klein shall be awarded a Board Appreciation Award and Joan Browder will be awarded the Biscayne Bay Stewardship Award. Our Wing Ding 2012 is free and open to the public. Bring the family and finish celebrating Earth Month with friends from the community!

I hope gimenez plans to talk about county's plans to deal with global warming sea level rise because that's the only conservation issue that matters anymore.
