Don't get too excited, it is not his post as Florida State Rep. As expected, he has resigned as Chairman of the Miami Dade County Republican Party. He was under fire from party bigwig Stanley Tate for mismanaging party funds so it was no surprise. He tries to save face by saying he needed to resign to conduct his campaign. Whatever, he is gone.

This is the best news I have heard in a long time. I don't know what took him so long.
The saying, "If it ain't broke don't fix it," left many of us wondering why were we changing the basis of our organization when we were doing well.
The REC can now get back to the business of being a grass roots organization working to elect Republicans to office.
