I Let Readers Decide Who I Should Vote For in the Republican Primary and The Winner is....By Geniusofdespair

The comments left on my post Who should I vote for in the Republican primary? were lacking persuasive arguments. "Newt, Newt" was funny but I needed more. The comment that won me over was this one:

Genius,

Since you are a primary voting Republican, and possibly looking to help Obama with your vote, I strongly encourage you to support Romney. He is perpetually stuck in the 20-30% range with his own party. He will never muster the support necessary to defeat Obama.

Gingrich is a different matter. If the economy is still struggling in November, Gingrich will ignite the anger of every unemployed / underemployed voter in the country to oust Obama. He will agitate the Republican base to a boil...it will be the Tea Party on crack!

If Romney is the nominee, the White House will be able to make it a Main Street v. Wall Street campaign and win. Vote Mitt! - January 23, 2012

On my promise to let you guys help me decide -- I will vote for the Mitten...unless someone can convince me otherwise by the end of the week as I want to vote early in the January 31st primary.

You're making a big mistake. Newt would be the better choice. He is sure to crash and burn and the moderates would flock to Obama. They won't if Romney is the candidate.

Is none of the above running?

Congratulations on your choice Genius!

As I have often said, you know the political landscape and is usually able to work your way through the thickets.

We are so deep in economic trouble and it will take a serious thinker of how money drives our very existence, someone to figue out the w's, what, why, when and where, and not a loudmouth to pull us through.

We need to get serious about who we elect. Look beyond the rhetoridc and sound bites. Dig deep to see who the candidate really is and you will come up a winner every time.

He has got some advisors, former advisors to Bush who were proponents of the Bush Doctrine. Did you catch that "Providence" remark. Ah huh. Google and read. Not a fan of the Bush Doctrine. Prefer THomas Jefferson.

Ron Paul gave him a lesson on the Constitution the other night regarding an act of aggression towards Iran. Replay the tape. High School Civics.

This guy doesn't have a clue, Internationally Speaking. You assume he won't get in? He might. Don't assume - its the Great Recession.

Anybody but Mitt.
