Homestead Housing Authority is in the news again, Tuesday. The Deputy Director, Monica Rusconi was fired after 11 years on the job. She had made sexual harassment claims against the Executive Director Oscar Hentschel, he was cleared (apparently she wouldn't talk to the investigator fearing bias). David Berrones, Member of the board, brought Hentschel in (they have a corporation together). Jones, another member of the Homestead Housing Authority Board, asserts Hentschel is not qualified to hold the job and got raises he didn't deserve. Rusconi was fired for "intimidating employees to sign a petition calling for the removal of the executive director" and for too many sick days.
