I guess we can't really blame Fresen for pushing these mega-casinos down our throats. He obviously needs A LOT of cash. I don't know how he can milk the casino money for personal gain, but somehow U.S. Congressman David Rivera managed to get gambling bucks, through deals with his God and real Mother, when he was with the State legislature.
I am always surprised that people will vote a person in office that can't even manage their OWN finances. Who wants them near ours? And, the more in debt they are, the worse the policy they tend to promote. His counterpart in the Senate sponsoring the gambling bill there, Ellyn Bogdanoff, is drawing money for "expenses" from her Committee Creating Possibilities that I find excessive.

Bill Clinton's plan to reduce mortgage principle will bail out the thieves and crooks in loafers, suits and ties.
It is PRINCIPAL not principle.
I live in this slimeball's district but because of Gerrymandering, he will never have a strong opponent in the general election. So it doesn't really matter what he does. As long as he doesn't get arrested, he is guaranteed reelection until he is term limited out.
Don't expect the Fair Districts Amendment to change anything. That will just get ignored. Sorry, to say, we don't live in a democracy here. The government is run by and for the power elite.

What about your Democrat Daphne Campbell? Sad to say, but she may be even more corrupt than Fresen.

Yeah, really first Anon. We point fingers all the time at our crooked and unwise politicians but fail to look at ourselves in the mirror.
When we make statements like that, characterizing one side as good and implying the other to be innocent (like the Union guy video posted earlier this week) we become just as implicated as the politicians we constantly complain about.
When you demonize one side, stay quiet (either consciously out of convenience or because of an ignorant lack of introspection) to the faults of those on "your side", you facilitate the problems we see in our political system.
There is so much dirty crap going on both every side, I don't know how anyone can affiliate themselves wholeheartedly with ANY party. Choosing the lesser evil, the means justify ends...all those rationalizations are no longer valid. We have reached a tipping point where only bold, PAINFUL, and selfless actions can save us. We must return to simple unadulterated principles if this political experiment is to continue.
This occurs with all groups .businessmen, unions, religious folk, environmentalists...
I'll give you an example: if you are at a family gathering or at a business meeting that you feel can change your fortunes and you hear something that you do not agree with (no matter how small) but fail to speak out simply to avoid being controversial, to fit in, or w/e..., you are committing the same moral lapses that our politicians commit, albeit theirs are at a greater scale. Our petty moral lapses are magnified and concentrated by the leaders we choose or fail to PUBLICLY disavow.
On WPBT Issues, Helen Ferre didnt even mention Fresen's dismal finances. Light weight.
He is not liked by his fellow Republicans, and he is vulnerable. He can be ousted by a well-financed challenger in the primary.
Fresen is a pretty boy who know how to raise money. The longer the delay in designing and approving DISTRICTS in the state of Florida, the harder it will be to put bad people like Fresen out of office.
