What a great opportunity to find out what's up with Port Tunnel project and ask how the Florida Department of Environmental Protection is going to protect Biscayne Bay during those 600 days of blasting for the Port of Miami expansion.

I wish the cargo would move to Ft Lauderdale.

Ft. Lauderdale has even more coral reefs that would be destroyed by their own proposed Post-Panamax dredging and blasting.
This is a statewide initiative supported by Gov. Rick Scott to retrofit all Florida ports for these superfreighters, regardless of the impact on the environment. In Jacksonville, they want to dredge the St. Johns River. In reality, ports in Norfolk, VA and NJ-NY are already able to handle this new fleet and have the distribution infrastructure in place.
