I started examining lesser known candidates earlier this week. Here is another we can look at, William E. Fisher, a Republican from Panama City, who is running for the U.S. Senate. He runs a company that does mold inspection, remediation and training. Here is a quick snapshot of some of what he proposes for our country (go to his website for more):
STRONG BORDERS - I’m in favor of strong borders, to stop the mass invasion of illegal individuals, who cross into America every day. If you want to be part of our American family you can apply through proper channels. Crossing over our borders is no different then breaking into someone’s home! It is illegal and needs to be stopped now, not later.
CHRISTIAN VALUE - Despite what the President thinks, we are a nation who appreciates the Christian values used by the framers of our Constitution.
THE TEA PARTY - I support the Tea Party because those folks that turns out to these meetings are in the most part good GOD fearing Americans. Americans with good conservative values who fear that the America they grew up in and help build is now being dismantled piece by piece. We drove to Atlanta to be part of that Tea Party. We were very proud to be a part of it.
THE ENVIRONMENT - We need to protect our environment however I do not believe we need to destroy our economy to do so. We here(sic) about global warming day after day on the liberal media machine, and how its man’s fault. I find it funny that the media does not cover other natural environmental causes like the more then two hundred volcanoes on the oceans floor.
One thing I wish these candidates would do: Get proof-readers!

A typical spout the uneducated tea party sound bite. No substance or thought, but then again, that is what got Lynda Bell elected over at least 8 better candidates in the field.
Perhaps we need more of these type candidates to convince the "masses" that you need to elect someone that can last more than one follow up question.
Oy..what prompts these people to spend other people's money running for an election they'll never win? and this.. "We need to protect our environment however I do not believe we need to destroy our economy to do so" -- is this because the economy trumps the environment? He's nothing more than another fear mongering fat bubba. Calling Carl Hiassen, clearly he's a character waiting to be written into your next book...
I'd take the Age of Aquarius over the Age of Stupidity, any day of the week.
