Where is this? By Geniusofdespair
Can you guess where this is? Tim Schmand should be recognized for making this a destination for all of us to enjoy. He brought in the sand and made this urban beach in downtown. There is now a series of oak trees for shade as you walk along the water from one end of the park to the other, ending at the Intercontinental Hotel. I used to get sun-stroke on this walk with the sun reflecting on the non-shaded concrete. What a metamorphosis this park has undergone. I have sat in the chairs pictured, looking out at the water, and I did experience a feeling of calm even with the hustle of the city around me.

Tim Schmand is the best Director at the City of Miami. He works hard, he loves his job, he never demands raises... In fact, he often asks for salary reductions so he doesn't have to layoff Bayfront Park Trust employees.
People should visit Bayfront Park and see the improvements.
I love the walkway around the Intercontinental and up the river. Very nice. The park is done at the Circle now too.

Watch, Marc Sarnoff will want to let his campaign contributor's Clear Channel or some other polluter install LED billboards in Bayfront Park facing Biscayne Blvd.
Sarnoff sees parks as oppurtunities to install billboards.
