Pam Bondi: Florida Attorney General Comments On Public Corruption in Florida: Yes sir, we'll get on that right away! ... by gimleteye

File under: LOL. I emailed Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi last New Year's Eve. Seriously. I asked her to comment on a report I had just read. Here is what I submitted to her web-friendly MyFlorida site:
"The 19th State Grand Jury Report on Public Corruption in Florida, released in late December, recommends specific actions to be taken by the State Legislature in the upcoming session. Is the AG supporting any specific new legislation or, has any been proposed by legislators or committees-- and if so, please provide a summary or specific language. Thank you."
So that was December 31, 2010. The reply from the AG Office arrived last night, July 11, 2011.
"Thank you for your email to Attorney General Pam Bondi regarding the 19th Statewide Grand Jury Report. During the 2011 Legislative Session, several bills were filed that addressed some of the concerns laid out in the 19th Statewide Grand Jury Report; however, none of these bills passed this year. I recommend that you contact your legislative delegation to convey your views on this issue. The Florida Legislature's website provides contact information for Florida Senators and Representatives, as well as legislative committees: http://www.flsenate.gov/ http://www.myfloridahouse.gov/ Thank you for taking the time to contact Attorney General Bondi. I hope this information is helpful."
Oh and I also received: "PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS E-MAIL. THIS ADDRESS IS FOR PROCESSING ONLY. To contact this office please visit the Attorney General's website at www.myfloridalegal.com and complete the on-line contact form. Again, thank you for contacting the Office of the Florida Attorney General."

I am trying to think of how to reply to the Attorney General. Maybe readers can help me?

Thank you EYE for this information. Now we all know why the crooks find their way to Florida along with the crooks that are living in Miami Dade County. Our legislators need to start the process of making laws which will stop having them look like crooks in the nation. We deserve better than this as citizens.

What does the Statewide Prosecutor do? Should public corruption be his number one priority?

Pam Bondi is Florida's "TOP COP", and is ultimately responsible for the actions of every member of Law Enforcement and the complete Justice System in the state of Florida. Over 6 months in the position and look at all that she hasn't done. And look at all that's been done against the Citizens of Florida by those just mentioned. So many incidents in which members are not doing a proper job. And that has affected the national and worldwide public opinion and respect for "The State of Florida". Along with so many other things that have adversely effected the Citizens of Florida Pam Bondi has proven her lack of respect for the Citizens time and again by the lack of access to her (not her underlings). By the Citizens needing to discuss very important issues. She needs to remember who her Employers (Bosses!)are. Time for a "Job Evaluation Report" to show what shes done and hasn't done. Along with time spent on the job. And with her rate of pay in these economic times. In which everyone has had to sacrifice. There was just something about her lack of financial disclosures in the news too! Just some true things you could bring up. Please
