Wow, my list would be so different: I put the structural stuff right at the top, because that permits so much of the other bad stuff.

Gerrymandering of election districts - 10

State GOP ignoring will of voters to have fair districts - 10

Absentee ballot fraud - 9

Attempt to gerrymander Florida Supreme Court - 9

Failure to create level playing field in electoral expenditures allowing money to buy elections - 8

Poor transparency for campaign expenditures - 7

Various individuals who I would rather have not got elected - 1 to 7 depending on how much I think this actually reflected the desires of the electorate (i.e. the more I think they won fair and square, the less angry (as opposed to unhappy) I am even if I don't like them).

Blog trolls - 1

Oh, I hate blog trolls too. I would put them up there at 7. They annoy me throughout the day, everyday. 7 Days a week.

Your list is good, I could agree with you on most.

Love it. Goerge Carlin got it right in that in the end, it's the public that "sucks. Money quote: "If you have selfish, ignorant citizens; you're going to get selfish, ignorant leaders". See it here:

Random list of what causes government to fail the people it represents.
Corporations regarded as people
Lobbyists writing laws
Unlimited funding of elections
Leadership with no vision
The banks, insurance companies, and financial institutions that created the recession seem to be back at it again, with almost no one going to jail
Blaming teachers, unions and workers for the financial crisis
The dependance on oil and nuclear instead of solar, wind and renewable energy that does not heat up the atmosphere or pollute
Incompetent elected officials who dismiss science and facts to promote their agendas

I agree with Scott as a 10. But Regalado has to be at an 8. What about the Miami Herald? 5?

That's a lot of anger.
143 out a possible total anger of 280.
You should thank your city manager, spouse, billboards and birthers for keeping your stats as low as they are.

How angry will you be when VNS runs unopposed for the District 13 seat on Wednesday?

Steve Bovo is running.

Julio Robaina for Mayor is rapidly moving up my list and may hit the top. I also added Vanessa Brito helping Robaina to my list.

Adding a Gables perspective:
Brad Rosenblatt running for Commissioner - 9

Fake Maria: Read Vanessa Brito's apology to Carlos Gimenez in a previous post on Carlos Gimenez under commets (April 6th).

Thanks for steering me to Brito's statement about her terminated association with the Accountability Project. I am happy that she admitted she made a mistake and has reversed herself. Brito is now officially off my list.

Fake Maria? LOL.

Billboards deserve more anger. They ruin our views and when tourists see billboards as they enter and exit Miami they think Miami is a dump. Further, when a corrupt Administration or a corrupt elected official approves new massive LED billboards they remain forever.

Elected officials can die or get recalled. The billboards are forever.

Perhaps a 8 on your meter?
