Burgess is Gone and Braman Wants to be Interim Mayor. By Geniusofdespair

Burgess is having a press conference to announce his departure. Alina Hudak will take over for now.

What? Braman wants to be Mayor for a bit. That could be interesting...or not.

Mayor and Manager are having a press conference for either 2 or 2:30 p.m. this afternoon.

I'm going to go outside and fly some balloons. This has been a long time coming.

Don't Start Me Up , We are Beast of Burden, stuck Between A Rock and a Hard Place, but last night the voters showed No Sympathy for the Devils, and Natacha and Carlos were rumored to be having their Nineteenth Nervous Breakdown, but went running for the shelter of thir Mothers Little Helper. Today they Got off of My Cloud and Wild Horses can't keep the people from voting for a new mayor, say it ain't so Braman you could turn out to be a Heartbreaker, this towns is Shattered our brains are battered enough.
Will we ever get Satisfaction? Spence Jones is practiced in the art of deception.

Is that confirmed about Mr. Braman? He wants to be the interim mayor?

Yes, like one of the bloggers said, neither manager or the mayor were good at politics. they both preferred to avoid conflict. They wanted their staff to handle the conflict and keep the Commissioners happy. George wanted everything to be fun and appear like it was being done in spirit of collaboration because he thinks that is professional.
George was good with Budget but stupid when it came to basic playground politics. What happens when you don't stand up to bullies? They keep doing whatever they are doing because it is effective strategy for them and gets them what they want.
Natasha and Terry were dominators of this game.

So is Alvarez or Burgess going to work with the Marlins?

maybe FPL?

FPL doesn't need anyone else, Alex already lets them edit County letters to their own company.

GIMLETEYE FOR MAYOR! It's time for an educated soul who will show real environmental stewardship and not play politics with our future.

Why is this whole "shake up" reminding me of "The Madness of King George" after he lost the colony's.

I loved the cartoon in the Herald today of Seijas. That's a keeper.

Braman should not be interim mayor. This would mean that the recall was really a campaign.

While I am happy that our BCC has a new pep in it's step and a reason to look over their shoulders, it is my thinking that there was never going to be a good outcome here in any case. I felt utterly compromised in what to do about Alvarez - worrying about a bad-to-worse scenario.

Furthermore, you cannot run a county on populist views. We need leadership (albeit honest leadership) with backbone. Let's not become California, folks.

Alina T Hudack is a classy lady who will hold thing together until after the special election. All bets are off after that.

ya a recall will add more to our taxes!!! Thats great. He's crooked and a bully. He's a sneaky sales man trying to use his money for influence. Commissioners Make pennies and are taking away from their families. Yet a few bad apples spoil the bunch. There's plenty of good commissioners that voted against the marlins stadium and strong mayor but know no one remembers any of those. People like to think being a commissioner is easy and that anyone even a crooked shark like sales man!!! No he has a hidden agenda!!!
