I take issue with the Miami Herald today on a PRO letter to the editor about Vile Natacha Seijas. The Miami Herald doesn't identify who the letter's author FRED FROST is, namely he was/is still? president of the South Florida AFl-CIO, one of the Unions funding her anti-recall PAC. I addition, a PAC controlled by Fred Frost gave VNS's PAC $25,000.
See a previous post on Frost when he spoke in support of Marlin Stadium - with photo of him.

Did Fred say anything that was not accurate? Did a different commissioner sponsor the Living Wage Ordinance or the Anti-Wage Theft Ordinance? Do any of the other commissioners do anything worthwhile for the local workers? Sejas and Jordan tried to give local contractors and small businesses a shot at work on projects built on county-owned land yesterday, but the rest of the commissioners voted them down. You may not like Sejas, but at least she is not a doormat for the out of town firms that walk in here and control these big projects.
I don't really care what Fred said, I only care that he didn't -- nor did the Herald -- disclose who he is. The post was about disclosure not what an ass Fred Frost is.
First Anon "living wage" didn't cost VNS squat it cost all of us insignificant taxpayers and her favoring the local contractors only shows she is a dormat or sock puppet because that would eliminate competition and raise the bid amount again at the expense of us invisible taxpayers and the benefit of her campaign coffers.
Come on they give all these ordinaces these slick names "Living Wage" who can be anti Living Wage or pro Starvation Wage or the Anti Wage Theft so if you raise any objection you are categorized as being in favor of wage theft. Orwell couldn't have picked better names.
Second anon if your VNS personal chef its time to change the menu.
I got rid of the second anon -- Cato, it was an ad.
Fred Frost is a citizen. He is not the President of the South Florida AFL-CIO. Explain why the Herald should require citizens to disclose what they did for a living or who they worked for. Your hatred of this Commissioner does lead you to take some pretty irrational positions.
Fred Frost is a really, really good guy who, for anyone who's met him, sincerely concerned about the plight of American workers, unionized or not. And he's correct that Seijas has been a leader on worker right issues (now , if only she'd wise up on environmental, good government, and civil rights issues).
As to CATOs point, if you don't pay a worker a living wage on the front end (an amount to keep them above the poverty line), we (society) will end up paying for them on the back end (via cash welfare payments, subsidized housing, crime, etc.).
What if a former member of the Nazi party where too offer an opinion about Israel wouldn't it be nice for the readers to know.
As former head of the AFL-CIO Mr. Frost benefitted from Natacha's action at the expense of the taxpayers who will vote on whether to recall her or not, I think the public should know the relationship between VNS and those offering their "unbiased" opinion.
As to the Chef I recognized as an ad but thought i'd have some fun with it anyway.
over 90% of workers make well over minimum wage anyway. So lets say there were no food stamps, section 8 and all those other programs well guess what prices and rents would adjust to what folks could pay for the most part only because some one wants to actually ring their register or collect their rent.
Not saying there should be no safety net but our nets gotten very big and is costing us in more ways than are obvious to most.
So if you are pro living wage that would make me anti living wage or pro starvation wage....please.
