Analysis of the Monestime and Bendross-Mindingall Victories. by Geniusofdespair

Mark Sell has written a fine column in the Biscayne Times about the two great upsets in the most recent Miami Dade Elections: The ouster of Dorrin Rolle and the loss of the Stintson pick for school board, Ronda Vangates. Sell said:

Monestime’s campaign manager, Willis Howard, credits economic frustration as the decisive issue. “People are hit with high unemployment and rising crime,” he says. “They knew about JESCA. Most folks already knew the negative stuff about Rolle. We didn’t have to tell them. To add insult to injury, he voted to raise taxes by 14 percent while people are hit hard by rising foreclosures and rents. They just couldn’t take it anymore.”

Well it sounds like he hit the nail on the head.

Ronda Vangates is a nasty spiteful woman. She used to do dirty deeds for disgraced former commissioner Arthur Teele. Years later she was filmed being dragged kicking and screaming away from a fight at a School Board meeting. See famous You Tube video.

Dorrin Rolle. Even poor people knew Rolle was up to no good as he drove his $125,000 Mercedes to meetings of a non-profit. A non-profit he ran into bankruptcy.

Rhonda Vangates symbolizes all that is bad with the School Board and government workers.

From the Miami Herald 2/21/07

"In video surveillance footage, Vangates, wearing a pink suit and Manolo Blahnik high heels, can be seen striding toward Costanzo. "How could you do that to me? I'm going to f------ get you," he said Vangates screamed...
...Seconds later, a barefoot and agitaated Vangates is restrained and led away by two men"...
