A reader reported that the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida dumped Billy Cypress as their Chairman. Anyone in the know on what happened? Cypress had been the Chairman since 1986.
I called the Tribe Indian Village and the Casino, both locations said Colley Billie is the new Chairman. He was the Table Games Manager. According to a Dec. 23rd report by blogger HOuston CYpress:
A Challenge to the Miccosukee Runoff Elections was Found to Have No Merit; this Confirms New Chairman Colley Billie, whose duties begin this Sunday (Dec. 27th). Further, HOuston CYpress said in an earlier post (December 13th) that the community was polarized and there was a runoff election as a tie breaker for the top position that day.

The Elders of the Miccosukee are very much aware of what is going on; they are silent as they watch and listen... Obviously they had enough.
The new Chairman seems to be an honorable man and I have respect for him and his family. Half of the tribe members who go there are arrogant, spoiled, low lives with drug and alcohol abuse problems. In the end it is their casino and they can do with it was they wish.
I had the misfourtune of being evicted (trespassed) by security just because I sat playing for more than three hours and the people who go there and dont gamble asked me for money all the time and this one time I refused. I called security and also "gaming
I was totally mistreated and humilliated by them. I was told to keep away for one year. They did me a favor, I;ve lost a lot of money playing there anyways. they are so arrogant is incredible.
The so called "gaming dept. and their security people" are a big JOKE. The miccosukees treat you like crap and if you dare to complain, they take you to the back, put you in a room and start screaming and yelling at you as if you were a criminal. Shame on the miccosukke's- "Mico" means "monkey" in spanish. A monkey business is what they are running. I am glad we have other casinos competing now. They are totally unprofessional and could give a rat ass about you as a customer. I HATE THE MICOS
