The Nation's Capitol, where you would expect the ideals of America to be paramount, has a flaw. The People living in The District of Columbia have no representation -- no Senators and no Congressmen or Congresswomen. This photo illustrates the frustration in the District. Even police cars sport the "Taxation without Representation" motto adopted for D.C. license plates. Protest is alive and well in D.C.

Not entirely true. D.C. has a Congressional Representative - Elanor Holmes Norton - officially representing the Capital city but doesn't get a vote. Kinda like Puerto Rico.
Here's her Congressional website:

No vote? Not quite representation.
Not exactly true. Washington, DC gets an enormous amount of our tax dollars. It may lack a Senator but they get massive amounts of our money.
it is no more OUR money as it is THEIR money.
